2. because this mod was originally going to be part of the above mod, and they were going to be unlockable. I decided against it though and just shunted it off into its own mod the lazy way.

why not just patch the recipe file and replace the groups with an empty array? that worked for me on the gunsmith addon for my outpost overhaul, and it means you won't have to patch player.config
