@Xaos I'm very glad to hear it! To answer your question, yes, I still intend to make similar changes to the rest of the game. The mod is not abandoned. But I have not had time to work on it so far this year and it may yet be a few months before I do.

I played through act 1 of this mod with my friend, and we had a very fun time with it. Are there any plans to further change act 2 and also overhaul acts 3 and 4?

@Zarkrai It's not something I've tested, but from a cursory look I am pretty sure it would not be compatible.

@Sunlar Is this mod incompatible with modded classes like the Odinblade classes since those also edit some existing skills?

Seconding the other comments! This is an amazing mod. The design doc perfectly encapsulates how I feel about the base game, and I love your implementation.

Eagerly looking forward to the combat overhauls beyond Act 1.

Still a game with one of the best combat systems. Love the challenge it gives and makes the game more enjoyable. Looking forward to it being completed and seeing it role out to the rest of the acts.

Thank you for your kind words and for having gone through all of Act 1 with my mod. I tried to design the Necromancer fight to be most challenging encounter in Act 1 without making it outright unfair, so I wanted it to be highly rewarding for those that had a crack at it and managed to beat the encounter. As with anything in DOS 2, it can be trivialised with tools such as Escapist and Lone Wolf, but that decision falls to each player. I do still intend to finish overhauling the remainder of the game's encounters, but it will be ready when it's ready!

When I first saw this mod, I thought it would only change the skills and a little bit more, but this overhaul surprised me with its reworks, and even the little addittions to unique equipment that got their stats tinkered a bit, it was really nice seeing some "lackluster" pieces of equipment get buffed. Though I was a bit surprised from the loot that got dropped by the lvl 9 necromancer in act 1, seemed a little bit too powerful for this stage of the game but hey, I cant judge. Great mod, hope you'll be working on it further!
