Yes, there will be a combined map, which is on pause as I work on more personal matters. However, while I was working on the interior, I did not have the exterior in mind, Only later on did I really consider making an exterior

hey deathtastic question how will I get in contact with you to send you the files when they are ready, Nodes are finished now I am just dealing with the nav mesh for better precision so things do not simply run into things and get stuck.

I made it, and it was the first time I made it. The new version of the map, when it's right about to come out, I would happily love your help with navmesh / ai nodes.

I am too lazy to do the coding for it although while looking at the map may I just say the navigation isn't too good, Hey death if I made a navigation file would you be down to use it or did someone make it because it is hard to tell.

If you want to you can use something like wire mod and an addon for it that adds the ability to use wiremod with it from there the door could be held down for an infinite amount of time, I still have to test that mod so I will leave an update comment on if that works.

Oh, my bad, I think I read the question wrong. As far as I know, on the map you can not stop it closing automatically besides just spamming the door button. The effect was taken from the original's map design, but made a bit better. The thing with the left door is, you can close and open it at will, but it'll open by itself, the door on the right is broken (in lore), so you can only close it.

TL:DR: No, there is no way to keep it closed besides spamming the door button, it is intentional design.

We'll see what I can do, I'm either going to keep that system as it has kept me sane with that, or I'll figure out how to make it so you can just keep playing the record, I guess.

It's a simple fix, I believe. I have it so when you play the record, it kills the thing that allows it to play, since there is an easter egg on the map that only happens when you play all the right records. Since that won't be happening on the new version of the map, then I'll get rid of that system; which will allow you to play the records without having to reset the map.

I have an idea or at least a work around which may cause less problems then having to put the disk on every time, The counter outside of the room could have a panel the player cannot interact to open with that open when the corresponding song is played on the record.

Kind of like one of those audio guys in haunted houses that flip a switch to activate something that cues lightening behind a window with the accompanying sounds to catch people off guard.

@404_coffee.exe Simply cleanup the map, and all will be available to play again. If I can figure it out, perhaps I'll allow people to replay the records after it's done.

That is a gmod issue.

1. Restart gmod, that sometimes fixes the issue

2. Verify files that might work

3. You can restart your pc

Also gmod does rely on internet/wifi connection so make sure you have nothing else going on your pc while gmod downloads mods. If you use anything on tv's or phones it won't effect the download

ai node inside the vent is messed up where theres a grade and a pot of flower, npc that can crouch and go through vents try to go through that grade

I did not know you all had sounds that play over time when in this map. i just heard the sound of footsteps running at me when i was testing some new fnaf ragdolls. scared the hell out of me. still a 10/10 map!

Right. Let me answer this in one comment.

The next map planned at the moment is something I've been working on a while, as to when it will come out is hard to say. It's been a multi month project, as it has a lot of custom models and textures. It was supposed to come out last month, but I burnt myself out. As for this map, the next update will be the combination of both interior and exterior maps, which is a process.
I can not give official times for when to expect the next map / this map's update. I only can do so much in an amount of time, as I'm also working towards my GED, so I have to put time aside to work on that.

I thought about it, and honestly, I think the story of TFE will just remain simple, no Edwin Murray involved. However, on the Exterior map there are multiple easter eggs mentioning SOTM.
