Yo! Do you know or ever saw, the VGP mod list, and, say, ever looked into it?
Keith Carluke 6 Sep @ 11:10am
@Sarg Bjornson Sadly, I'm not much of an artist, and the work stations would really need age-appropriate textures =.=
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 6 Sep @ 8:46am
v2.101:

- Fixed Royal salve recipe which was causing the artisan workshop to not register as a kitchen
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 6 Sep @ 4:06am
I mean, what is stopping you? ;)
Keith Carluke 6 Sep @ 3:52am
I wish I could do it myself, really, it's a great mod
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 5 Sep @ 10:39pm
And ideally retexture the buildings
TurtleShroom 5 Sep @ 6:29pm
@Keith Carluke

What would a "medieval patch" for this Mod entail? I assume one that makes the buildings not require electricity?
sewnutty 5 Sep @ 4:05pm
Do it yourself and save the cash.
Keith Carluke 5 Sep @ 7:03am
Petition for someone to make a medieval patch for this

Can you use fresh bodies when making perfume?

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer https://share.google/fpdQgN4RquMLeMooX
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 4 Sep @ 7:31am
- Infused mayonnaise is now called flavoured mayonnaise
- Recipes that have variable yield now explain on their description what the baseline is
- Oil is now usable as a condiment for VE Cooking, as was always the intention
- Aloe vera can now be used to reduce infections by 5%
- Perfume and soap now indicate their use
- Giant seeds from Alpha Biomes can be used for the same things as sunflower seeds in VE Plants - More Plants
- Mushroom from Alpha Biomes can be used in any recipe using RawFungus. Same for black truffles from Alpha Animals
- Fruits from Alpha Biomes can be used for the same things as any fruit in VE Plants
- Scented candles can use wax from Alpha Bees
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 4 Sep @ 7:30am
v2.1:

- Added 15 new artisan crafts: cured hive confections, infused oil, balsamic vinegar, popcorn, buttered popcorn, caramel popcorn, powdered horn, powdered mineral, truffle oil, vegemite, desert salve (Alpha Animals), sky syrup (Alpha Animals), iced elixir (Alpha Biomes), jamón serrano (VE Cooking) and royal salve (VFE Insectoids 2)
- Added 1 new artisan machine, the infuser
- Added 1 new research, flavour infusing
- Added 2 variations for purees (baba ganoush and tapenade) and 1 for pickles (barrel cactus from Alpha Biomes)
- Updated all items to use the Graphics classes now present in the VE Framework to avoid duplicate code
- Rebalanced chutney and salted caramel to not be so profitable
sewnutty 31 Aug @ 2:32pm
@Iirly in theory you could but many of the more complicated requirements require temps and equipment that were simply impossible at that timeperiod.

Perhaps a geothermal stove?
Iirly 31 Aug @ 11:54am
I'm using this with medieval overhaul. Is there a medieval analogue for making some of the more complex items? Or are they restricted to industrial production? For reference, I'm trying to make Red Sauerkraut.
R3tr0_g5m3r 29 Aug @ 2:44am
about candle,perfume,soap
why not make them consumable for the colonists instead just selling them
JACK 25 Aug @ 1:37pm
I think the black garlic is "curing" my pawns of their scarification 😂 working as intended I suppose!
sewnutty 22 Aug @ 5:08pm
Oh thank you, this will help the growing meat piles wonderfully.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 22 Aug @ 12:45pm
These are the caravans and settlements that are patched to buy artisan goods: https://github.com/juanosarg/AlphaCrafts/blob/main/1.6/Patches/MerchantPatch.xml
StankLocator 22 Aug @ 11:40am
Is it normal that no settlements want to buy certain goods? like none of them want the berry tea bags or gravy
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 22 Aug @ 6:11am
Sorry, I don't do medieval. Someone else would have to do some patching
Skye 22 Aug @ 1:36am
Hi there! uwu

Apologies if this has already been asked, I just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying the game/mod! I'm currently doing a fun little artisan-themed medieval run where they make candles and soap hehe.

That said, I’ve noticed a few things I can’t seem to craft without power. I was wondering if there’s any workaround or medieval-friendly version for certain recipes? For example, I wasn’t able to find machines or tools for things like liquor, vinegar, pickles, or kombucha.

I’ve been using the tooltips a lot, but I didn’t see any machines listed when trying to make those items. It’s possible they’re part of another machine I missed, there are so many mods for medieval content that I tried using God Mode to check each unpowered machine, but still couldn’t figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks again for all your hard work <3 ( works fine on non medieval runs, just curious about medieval verison)
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 18 Aug @ 10:21pm
Not easily
AtomicRobot 18 Aug @ 2:01pm
I don't know if that has been asked about before, but would it be possible to limit trade requests to things I am actually able to craft? Like, not get asked about chutney when I haven't even unlocked complex artisinal crafting yet?
sewnutty 11 Aug @ 7:26pm
@Sarg Bjornson Easy, Chemshine, vegetables, wastebags.....ok fine and some spice.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 10 Aug @ 7:26am
Oil press, just read the infographics, they are thorough
Dethlok 9 Aug @ 11:41pm
Which station produces perfume I don’t see it in bills
BoxingBud 9 Aug @ 6:44pm
I'm good! I had to set the field as a "flower field" but I didnt put in the mods until after playing with this (fantastic!) mod first! So I played with this mod, had default growing fields, didn't see the floral ones when I applied VE Plants lol
BoxingBud 9 Aug @ 6:38pm
Thank you, while I do have all these mods installed, the only option I have when a flower is fully grown is to "cut" it, but that does not give me what I need to produce the perfurme. In this case I grew a field of Plumeria.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 9 Aug @ 7:29am
You need VE Plants - More Plants
BoxingBud 9 Aug @ 1:46am
How do I get flower ingredients? Like berries and dye work for perfume but there's floral botanicals I could use , I dont' know how to produce those as the flowers are not harvested, but if they're cut they don't produce anything.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 9 Aug @ 12:27am
It always appears on lists of "weird things people eat around the world" lol

Not sure how it could be Rimworldfied.... Using mushrooms to make it?
TurtleShroom 8 Aug @ 7:29pm
@Guns22

I know what Vegemite is from a song that plays on FM radio all the time, "I Come from a Land Down Under."
gunns22 8 Aug @ 10:38am
@Sarg Bjornson

Well, I don't blame ya for being unfamiliar with it. I only discovered that Vegemite existed because it was featured in a FNAF-themed cooking video. According to Google, it's made of recycled brewing yeast extract, vegetables, and spices. The Australians love it as a food spread, for some reason.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 8 Aug @ 1:09am
I'm not very familiar with Vegemite, besides its reputation. What is it made of, exactly?
sewnutty 7 Aug @ 5:41pm
@Sarg Bjornson yes it is under the normal cooking/drug tabs i believe. One of those two structures has the bill for it.

@gunns22 (Vomits) He's trying to kill us all!!! Besides this is mostly an "artisanal" mod so most factory scop I would imagine be for another place.
gunns22 7 Aug @ 2:48pm
Lol yeah? Sadly, I do not see Vegemite (or a copyright-free requirement) anywhere on the list of products players can craft and sell to the masses. Any plans for that, @Sarg Bjornson?
TurtleShroom 7 Aug @ 12:40pm
I love that reference.
gunns22 7 Aug @ 11:40am
@Sarg Bjornson

The words "Vegemite" and "death" should mean the same to these pirates. Do you understand?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 3 Aug @ 10:38am
But you can turn night milk into normal milk, can't you? I'm asking because I might have forgotten to add a recipe
Kingcaber 3 Aug @ 10:23am
i get a quest to make yogurt , i ranch night chargers from alpha animals , cant use night milk to make yogurt ;-;
condottiere 30 Jul @ 6:20am
Great mod, nice change of pace from peddling bushels of yayo every quadrum. Didn't want to use this on my previous combat-centric run, but this time it's a great addition for my trade ship Odyssey run.

The valuation tips are such a huge QOL feature so I can make informed choices about my opportunity costs. And I haven't even loaded any of the other VE mods on my current run.

May your gods grant you the strength to endure gamer comments.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 29 Jul @ 10:10am
Exactly
sewnutty 27 Jul @ 6:56pm
@Serf Could you check your cheese presses? It has similar code functions and if it isnt working then you have a mod conflict.
Otherwise click on fermenter (choose quality + begin loading ingredient) then a new hauling job is created where you can click on either the item or the fementer again to prioritize the hauled item.
Serf 27 Jul @ 4:24pm
How do I get the Artisan Fermenter to function? I start a process to turn rice into vinegar, but nothing happens. I can't prioritize a colonist to work on it either. Just want to see if I'm missing something.
TurtleShroom 25 Jul @ 2:40pm
So vanilla is in some stupid "flower grow zone" that is a copy of the normal grow zone? Just use the farming zone form the original game. There's no wonder I couldn't find it, then! I have been looking for where to grow vanilla for a long, LONG time!
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 24 Jul @ 10:57pm
They are all children. I want Robin
PixiePunchPie 24 Jul @ 8:51pm
o.O I think you're secretly in love with Elliot... (Even though Sebastian is clearly the better choice)
CW 21 Jul @ 4:25am
nah flower grow zone is a good idea. if it were me, id have a dedicated zone for every type of plant cuz theres just so god damn many.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 20 Jul @ 10:35pm
@TurtleShroom: I consider anyone who mentions "bloat" to be a buffoon. Do you wanna be one?
