Hi mate, do you have any plans to update your patch for Reanimata? I was thinking of starting a new game so I don't know if I should wait for you or not.

thanks for the info, one last question. in the cohort ledger where you can see the moral bonuses and strengh bonusses from tech. there are overlapses with makes it impossible to read them. is that something you could fix? @Toorstain

@Darkweave Maybe something is wrong with your files? The file army_hoplites should no longer be commented out at least. All other references to hoplites should also not be commented out.
The hoplites unit has inherited the name "Heavy Spearmen", and the old heavy spearmen has been renamed to Phalanx. Heavy Spearmen are found mostly in greece, as well as a little bit in Italy, the levant, Carthage. Only macedonian and epirote culture have phalanx levies.

@Tzeentch I have removed a lot of specific unit counters, and baked more of the units combat ability into strength/morale damage taken/dealt. So the hoplites are a strong defensive unit that can take a lot of damage, and also have some bonuses against cavalry (and more importantly, cav have huge maluses against them) A lot of combat info for units is also shown by hovering over terrain descriptions on provinces.

Is something broken with heavy spearmen in the latest update? None of the factions have them in their levy templates. The files seem to reference the commented out hoplite unit.

Is there a way to see more iforamtion abt the units strength and weaknesses? for example i can only see how much elefants stress my suplylines, or the hoplitai are aperently only good agains cav units.

Mod updated. Added pikemen as a new unit, and changed the icon and stats for heavy spearmen.
The reanimata version has not been updated yet.

@Iskariota Thank you very much! I'll try to implement this cod when I have time to sit down and do it for all cultures, haha.

This mod is amazing and essential. Paradox forgetting to have representation of the Macedonian phalanx in a game about the Hellenistic period is outrageous. The sligners and javelins also are really important and add a lot. Thank you so much.

@Toorstain Sorry i reply after half a year (bg3 pulled me in once again). In the .asset file i added this at the end (heavy spear example):
entity ={
name = "X_levy_phalanx"
clone = "Y_levies_heavy_infantry"
}
entity ={
name = "X_legion_phalanx"
clone = "Y_legion_heavy_infantry"
}
X = nation tag
Y = Entity name

I did it for one culture so imo you would have to copy all unit .asset files from invictus and add those in all of them with correct X and Y

Hey everyone! I have finally had time to update the mod. I saw there were compatibility issues in the culture files as far back as 1.9, but this has been fixed. The mod should run fine now, but I can't promise there are no other bugs, so please let me know.

@Riekopo there is a separate version of the mod for Reanimata, that I have also updated.

literally the one before this one i belive. i also dont really want to play without this mod, the AI update is excellent tho. so until this is updated its a double edge sword of sorrow

Hey, I wanted to ask a few questions:
1. Could the mod add a third rank/file in the unit screen? Making an actual manipular legion would be sick, plus I would like to actually do some proper countering, as in light infantry to deal with skirmishers, then skirmishers to deal with heavy infantry etc.
2. Could you look over some of the bonuses that the trees give? Its overall good, but I feel like as Greece you are so strongly forced into the macedonian phalanx despite the fact that the rest of Greece still often kept to a "normal" phalanx.
3. Could you reduce the malus that Heavy Spearmen get on rugged terrain? I feel like it is completely impossible to use them to fight anywhere but on flatland, which is quite rare in the meditteranean.
Other than that, cinema. Can't play without this mod anymore.

Do the reward modifiers of the Invictus mission tree work with the new units? If they are not compatible (for example, if there are no buffs for the new units and only the existing ones are affected), it seems like only existing units like HC will be used.

@Iskariota That is something I would very much like to add to the mod. Could you expand a bit more on which files you edited/how you did it?
Would I have to create a new folder and asset file for every model type, or can I just create a single file under gfx/models/units with all the clone gaps filled in?

Irony Mod Manager doesn't support Imperator sadly. But you can use the old outdated Paradoxos Mod Manager to check for file conflicts

@Skidee Maybe, but I cannot promise that it will be. The mod does make changes to military traditions, trade goods and some cultures, as well as almost all cultural levies. Asian countries would of course not have their levies changed

Is this mod compatible with Terra Indomita? Terra Indomita's description says it is a fork of Invictus and that it's basically Invictus with a bigger map, so I wanted to ask.
