Nice idea, I'll think about it

i think it'd be a good touch to get a few victory points for leveling up alliances. it only makes sense that the diplomatic victory should incentivize you to be diplomatic, and what's more diplomatic than allying with someone?

Hi, I don't think that would cause issues. Different parts of the game are modified by the two mods, so they should be compatible

Hello, i love the idea for this mod. I was wondering if it would have any conflict with Nere's Better World Congress, which changes most resolutions, alters when they show up and makes other minor tweaks to the impact and bonus of congress choices.

No problem, glad you had fun with this.
In vanilla emergencies also don't have tiers, so it's one set of rewards for all participants; only competitions do.

Just retried the same save and you are right - after I stopped everything else going on and just completed the emegency it awarded me 4 for the first place and 2 for the silver (and the extra 2 were from the civic so everything is now accounted for). I guess when playing vanilla I could get away with not knowing the exact mechanics and expecting either only the first place reward or all 3 tiers - and math wasn't adding up in both cases. And the 2+2 instead of 2 or 2+2+1 from aid request now make sense as well

Thank you for clearing things up and sorry for the false alarm

Are you sure it's a bug?
Remember that first place also gets the silver tier rewards.
If it's 4 points for first place, and 4 points for silver, you get 8 points total for first place.

Had a weird bug last game with this mod where both aid requests and actual emergencies like city states were providing double their stated number of victory points. It is likely a mod conflict, but I was wondering if it's a known issue with a known culprit or if I need to track down the mod causing it myself first?

Otherwise a pretty fun mod - even with bugged point awards the diplomatic victory feels more like an actual victory than it did in vanilla xD

The latter

Is the Zone of Influence an actual mechanic or just the fact that you can respond to military emergencies quickly?

@ranma_hf could you write more in the "BETA FEEDBACK" thread?

So i tried it out 160 rounds in standard speed, large map, 4 points out of 50 is the high for any civ.
Is this a vs mod? cause vs a computer its not so good.every other path to victory is wide open,
all this does is making the statue of liberty worthless.

The modder's pass continuing to release absolute bangers, fantastic work on this one!

50? I always felt it was one of the slower ways to win, already. IN a game where alot of other ways to win are shut off, this might be balanced. IN a game with culture, religion, dom, etc on, you know what I will down load it and give it a shot. I am curious.

Looks amazing! Only thing it could be missing is a way to make the diplo victory mechanics useful even if you're not going for a diplo victory; like how it still can be worth the effort to get a religion even if you're not going for a religious victory. Maybe having more points could make the AI like you more? Or if you are in a war with someone, they are more likely to favour the side with more diplo points?

Looks fantastic! Instead of being the "last hope effort" in a failed game it might actually be fun :D

And here is the well-needed mod that reworks the previously boring Diplomatic Victory!
