Great map!
GamesBrown 12 Oct @ 10:37am
Amazing news, looking forward to it! Everyone I have shown this room to has thought it was the best they played on the workshop. The way it requires us to actually solve puzzles together, instead of just doing individual puzzles on opposite sides of a room and fighting over key items, made the game so much more fun, wish there were more levels like this. I am sure the sequel will continue that.

Oh my god, thank you so much for the praise man! I'm making another, but it won't be out before ES2 ☺️
GamesBrown 8 Oct @ 5:01pm
This is HANDS down the best escape room of like any kind I have ever played, let alone in a videogame. If you don't make some sort of follow up to this 2 room at a time coop concept (especially with escape sim 2 around the corner), my life will be significantly worse off. Thank you goat.

So happy you guys could play together meg! <3

Amazing! Thank you so much. Enjoyed playing with my son who lives several hours away.

Hi 墨瞳tyj12, thanks for the feedback! 2-4 may be a cultural difference, because shadow figures made with your hands are pretty common in western culture. The dog is probably the most well-known. The elephant is less common; the image is the head of an elephant seen in profile, with the horizontal fingers being the tusks, and the fingertips pointing down being the trunk.
For 2-5, the mannequin/ASL parts should be particularly abstract, though clicking the corresponding tiles might be.
Don't forget that you can grab a clue by pressing 'H' if you're stuck on any of the puzzles! Being stuck for ages is definitely not fun :)
墨瞳tyj12 15 Sep @ 8:16am
Overall, I'd give it a 6 out of 10. Everything else is pretty good—it's quite well-crafted overall. But I absolutely can't figure out why the third image in levels 2-4 is an elephant . My friend and I got stuck on it for ages. The second image being a dog also feels pretty far-fetched. The logic behind 2-5 is also a bit tricky and abstract. At least for us, the experience wasn't great...

Thanks Chikara! I'll probably make a sequel yeah 😁
Chikara 4 Jul @ 9:03am
Noticed I hadn't commented on this one but this too is one of my absolute favorites. Me and my friend had a lot of fun playing it. You humor is always on point and the puzzles are super clever.. and again, the style is so cool! Will be a lot of fun to see what you do in Escape Simulator 2 :)
Baka 4 Jul @ 1:39am
Incredible

This was amazing; one of the best rooms I've done. Thank you!
Zesty Mordant 24 Apr @ 1:53pm
Finally found a partner to play this, was worth the wait, super fun and clever! Things got a little out of hand at some point, but I think we handled it well 👏
Ravn  [author] 22 Apr @ 9:29pm
Hi Click Fire I could only imagine how rough that was! 😅
Click Fire 22 Apr @ 8:45pm
My friends and i did this after like 8 other community maps at 3 am and we were all losing our minds at this point. This map is an actual nightmare if you are running on fumes.

Great map.
Glorb 14 Apr @ 3:52am
This had me laughing the whole way through! and super creative level design as well. So so so so good! I was glad to lend a hand.
KegNot 23 Mar @ 8:15am
Great co-op! Challenging, with a lot of humor!
YorkshaCat 21 Feb @ 3:10pm
With this and the Fable of the Frog King, you're my new favourite builder!
mefisto57001 17 Feb @ 2:06pm
My friend and I enjoyed the game a lot.

Following a deliberate and coordinated engagement of the musculoskeletal system, we executed the elevation of our primary upper-limb digit while simultaneously inducing controlled flexion in the remaining four phalanges. This action, henceforth referred to as the "thumbs-up gesture," was successfully deployed as a non-verbal communicative mechanism to convey affirmative acknowledgment within the designated interactional environment.

Please give us Institute of Having Feet!
Tisena 15 Feb @ 3:48am
This was brilliant! I can't wait to set foot in your next room!
Hoofy 15 Feb @ 3:48am
This is hands down the best community room out there. Both thumbs up!
Ravn  [author] 9 Feb @ 12:13pm
@probillythepet Ah that's good to know! :) Nice to hear from another deaf player and getting confirmation that it works for you guys - thanks for taking the time to comment!
probillythepet 9 Feb @ 10:34am
@Ravn, very good! Me and other deaf player are in fact from UK, therefore using BSL. But we do understand ASL and I do recognises these signs as soon as I entered into the room. :D
Ravn  [author] 9 Feb @ 1:05am
Very happy to hear it, @probillythepet! :D Even got help from another deaf ES player to make sure the ASL puzzle was okay :)
probillythepet 8 Feb @ 3:17pm
Love the room, especially with caption provided and using sign language as part of the puzzle. As the deaf player, I really enjoy it !
Pickled_Ally 7 Feb @ 5:36pm
10/10 absolutely hilarious. Needs more puns!
angi.lucian 6 Feb @ 6:40pm
Incredible map! My friend and I had so much fun. All the puzzles were thought provoking but not too hard.

재밋어요
kaileekins 22 Jan @ 5:58pm
This was hilarious and amazing. Great, creative puzzles!
Ravn  [author] 19 Jan @ 11:36pm
Hi ViperRogue888 I've been having some trouble with that after accidentally overwriting a script and having to rebuild it from scratch. I thought it was working again but seems like I was wrong still! I'll have another look tonight.
ViperRogue888 19 Jan @ 2:47pm
Loved this one so much! Only issue we ran across is we couldn't get the shadow figure puzzle to show the shadow figures, but I am not sure if that was user error. The light was working on my end and moving around but nothing was showing on the other side.
dazza 12 Jan @ 2:03pm
this map caused my 2 friends to argue about who uses their hands more....
BjornBear 8 Jan @ 9:56pm
Was a good one!
Ravn  [author] 4 Jan @ 10:15pm
Thanks for the excellent feedback guys! Very happy that you loved it! 😊
AudioAutumn 3 Jan @ 9:07pm
I want to comment again with more spoilers because there was so much to love - it was immediately fun to see the columns with items that would be used with different hand shapes, and realizing we would need to match up which went where. The realization with the 10-cube puzzle when my friend spotted all the hands up the wall - glorious. All the horrible AI hands were great, too. My favorite moment, though, has to be launching the fist bump to the window,
Meric Slovaine 3 Jan @ 9:03pm
To have all the puzzles point (har har) to a singular theme could have outstayed its welcome, but the design of this experience was so varied, often ingenious, and quite challenging (without being LucasArts point-and-click WTF nonsense). Excellent flow, super fun - a perfect 2-player co-op communication brain-burner with a sense of humor. Just about the best community map I've played. Well done!
AudioAutumn 3 Jan @ 9:01pm
ABSOLUTE GEM. This is maybe thematically the best Escape Simulator game I've played. The personality of the "scientist" and each puzzle - so funny. There were several parts my friend and I were cackling with glee, and you introduced some truly charming moments. Great variety of puzzles, great signposting. Speaking of signs - I really appreciated your informative note in the ASL book, and animation of each word.
Ravn  [author] 3 Jan @ 1:40pm
That's incredibly nice of you to say, thank you so much, Plutor! 😊
Plutor 3 Jan @ 8:22am
Probably the best co-op community map I've played. Funny, challenging but accessible, and great asymmetrical puzzles.

Giving this room a thumbs up at the end makes me regret some other thumbs up I've given.
Ravn  [author] 26 Dec, 2024 @ 9:20am
@NeuTronas No, YOU'RE crazy good! Great job solving all of that! <3
NeuTronas 23 Dec, 2024 @ 4:54pm
It was crazy good. Absolutely amazing, it took us a while to get everything.
Ravn  [author] 18 Dec, 2024 @ 1:12am
Trooper, weaponstar and Lyphage, Thanks so much for your lovely comments! <3
Lyphage 16 Dec, 2024 @ 12:59am
Best Co-op map I have ever played. It was funny and made us waste no single second. The puzzles were very simple to find a connection yet hard to really explain to your partner. Really love the design!
weaponstar 15 Dec, 2024 @ 2:05pm
Absolutely amazing and also hilarious. I'm glad we failed to teach 'John' anything about hands. It took us (2 players) two hours but we might have been a bit quicker if I wasn't tired because in hindsight I wasn't seeing something pretty obvious. Anyway awesome rooms, thanks!
Trooper 15 Dec, 2024 @ 3:54am
Amazing room, looking forward to the next installment of The Human Institutes research :)
