Is there any republic to play in Asia? Is it even possible to create some kind of pirate republic (without being norse)? I'm quite new in CK3, I'm trying to find a way to play as a pirate

A bug that I recently discovered is that a lot of the more severe mental break events seem to break the election mechanics.

The two most notable I’ve found are the major event for reclusive characters where you clear out your entire court, which seems to also remove election candidates;
And the abdication stress event which resets your republican legacies and permanently breaks the election mechanic so your familial heirs control the republic in perpetuity.

I have noticed that the election mechanic sometimes has a delay, where it takes a few ingame days after the election timer hits 0 days before you actually switch ruler characters

the single best mod in this games history, I have roughly 1300 hours. 90% of which consists of modded gameplay. I shit you not, this is the best thing i have played

Just wanted to say great mod on my first run. Used More buildings+(extra special building on map) more interactive vassal. Was able to be re elected. Decided to try a visby run from tribal to merchant works fine. i adopt republic ways all good. Now no matter what the game will crash right after election. This is regardless i start as pisa, Genoa, Luni, Or even create the republic in drubrovnic. Election come game will crash

tried shutting it off and works, but it happens on a strange date, two run, last bookmark, first run tried to make an adventure pg and conquered some land, turned to republic by commands to get communal, conquered a duchy as normal, at 29th january 1195 stops working. second run same but as custom leader for city of milan, stoped in 1205 or smt like that. if you need the modlist i can give it to you

With this mod the time stop flowing but the game is interactable, or at least, looks alive but can't even interact with nothing. i play with other mods also but tried turning them off and this still happens.

Has the "buy into consortium" interaction been removed? - is there a way for a landless player to join the entrenched merchant families of a given republic?

I think what could fix it is maybe if the AI is forced to uncheck the keep playing as family button so the succesion goes back to normal. Then the player could always just select it again if it wants to keep playing as the next inheriting family when and if it does become doge again.

The 'Keep playing as family' seems to have some problems with it. I started as venice and slected it to keep playing as the starting doge family. Then when I lost the election I transitioned to that character being just a merchant family. This works correct. But the problem then happens that the button to keep playing as family is grayed out. I think because that button is tied to the main title it causes an issue. Since its greyed out it keeps it selected, so when the next election comes along and you win that election, 0your character does become the doge but you keep playing as the character who was previously doge. this causes you to over take the family title of the previous character (that just became doge) which then doesnt have one at all anymore. I hope I explained it properly.

Small thing I noticed is that the localization for comunal republic says 'Hell yea' instead of its actual descriptive bonusses/ modifiers etc.

Loving this mod very much, Im having a blast. Thanks for all the hard work!
