@canariboo Found the issue mod is "Mobility+"
this mod broke the mobility on the player.

Alright "Personality" mod did u create a character in base of it to make a new posture?, if yes maybe is that, but in general that mod modify all external character dates and is making conflict with this mod.

hmm, when you play with OBS u dont launch the game with steam, but steam need still to be opened. U had to launch the game through "win" folder from the .exe

You will have 3 folders, "win32", "win64" and "win" the one u have to only open the game is from "win". If u already did that, I will again the mods u have more later.

but i am opening the game through OSB.. unless i need to close out steam entirely for it to work? it looks much better through OSB but im still floating everywhere

oooh alright, okie. Looks like you have everything fine and compatible. The problem source here is not playing with OpenStarbound, to explain a bit more OpenStarbound is not a mod or something like that. Is an unofficial upgrade for starbound, People worked on make starbound way way better and that fix a lot of issues related to the rendered of size of the character (Included other functions to make the game super smooth and playable). You can find Openstarbound in the github page

Playing witouth OSB (abreviature) you will have a lot of issues in the rendering character. Hitbox, and other issues. Starbound base has a lot of mess in this features sadly...

hmm most mods can do some small change the character, could be for any race. I actually i have all mods related to avali installed and i don't get this error. Which probably is coming from other mod.

like... having anything that changes things about *any* race? i don't have anything else vaguely related to avali that i think would cause these problems in the first place-

hmmm, thats means mod conflicts could be. Or try to unsub, enter to the game again, see if u character is normal in all aspect, and sub again.
If the error still happen, even having OpenStarbound means u have other mod who changes o alter the files of the character base, and don't let this mod work properly. (Any mod related to the chracter could provide issues, for example having Size of Life Framework).

...i have no idea what im doing and even after getting all that set up i launch it and the big space between my character and the floor is still there?

@canriboo do u have Openstarbound? witouth it u gonna have some visual issues. If u see a tiny, really tiny floating between your character and the floor is normal, even with vanilla size you can see that (Like the screenshot i have). But if giant thats mean could be there mod conflict issue.

Anything related to the character modification for sprites, or sizes (No tech) could give issues.

on my ship and at the outpost im just like.. floating a block above the ground and its really disorienting
i also think the speed and jump stuff is messed up when im in these places because it was also like... unusually difficult to do the jumping course
are there any mod conflicts that i just dont know about or....? idk what would cause this
