Weird, it shouldn't be... basically the Spirit Walker capstone isn't giving the proper Resistance bonuses to counteract the penalties. right now it is granting +4 Lightning when none of the types effect that resistance, and it is only giving +4 Spirit Resistance when in order to counter the full penalty it would need to grant +8.

note that my numbers are purely in reference to how the skill is effecting her. the only Resistance being increased by other traits is spirit and it should be 7 but is currently 3 (Inner Radiance + Pure Soul + Celestial = 7)

Not sure if this has been reported yet, but I have a hero with the Spirit Walker capstone feature and her resistances are wrong. currently she is gaining +2 Blight, +2 Frost, +4 Lightning, and -2 Spirit, when it should be +2 Blight, +2 Frost, +2 Spirit.

I don't think it would necessarily crash the other way around, since slow probably looks at the unit's speed and then gets applied accordingly. IIRC there is no base game means of altering a unit's *core* speed inside a battle the way war cry does, which is likely why this particular interaction might cause problems with slow.

A potential solution might be to change war cry to apply a status effect (haste? or something else?) rather than messing with a unit's core speed

Ah, that actually makes sense. The game probably doesnt know what to do when a unit is treated as slow and fast at the same time. Thank you!

I guess this also means itll crash if you inflict slowed on someone affected by Warcry. Ill log it and look into it. Thx fot finding it!

Sorry for a walls of text, but i do have a theory - it could be that the game gets confused when attempting to apply fast movement on a currently slowed unit, heck why the issue did not appear for units that already had (very) fast movement

Even more testing within the same battle, and i've narrowed it down *a lot*
I pulled each unit separately out of the group and used war cry on them individually, the game hard crashes when the ability is attempted on a shrine of smiting
However, using the ability on the shrine of smiting in other battles (or the start of the same battle) does not crash the game - so the issue could be likely related to the shrine having a specific status effect when war cry is applied
The effects present on the shrine were burning, slowed and rally. I was not able to replicate it on other units with the same status effects - but the other units already had fast movement, meaning it did not try to apply fast movement to said units, only to the shrine. I hope this helps narrow down what is happening here, since it seems to be an extremely edge case crash.

very quick testing later - i was so far unable to reproduce this in other battles with the same hero/army comp, however, completely retrying the same battle (eg all the way from the previous turn, then attacking the wonder again) allowed me to reproduce it. Using war cry at the start of the battle seems to work fine, but after a few turns of AI control, it once again crashes when war cry is attempted. I'll try to move the hero around a bit before using the ability to see if i can find the specific circumstances that cause this.

So, some testing, i might have more information on the crash issue from earlier - it could be related
My game started crashing while AI control was on at the exact same point in the battle - after some desting, i determined this was when my hero attempted to use warlord's war cry ability from your mod while clearing an ancient wonder. Specifically happened when i tried to cast it on the hero's tile, no idea if that matters.
The hero in question was a defender.
I will do some further testing to see if i can replicate the crash in other battles and with other heroes, but it was 100% related to war cry in this case. I had to assume manual control over the hero to prevent the crash, and either using it manually or the AI attempting to do so instantly crashed the game.

yeah I figured it was an edge case. it was 135 turns in, no issues before that. maybe one of those things that will never happen again. Just weird, and far beyond any minor trouble shooting skills I possess.

Regretfully, I reached a point in a game today where my game crashed on the same turn every time. After uninstalling the mods I use one by one, I determined that the game continued once I uninstalled this mod. The game continued to play after reinstalling all other mods save this one. When this one was reinstalled the game continued to crash.

I wish I had helpful information to share about this. Most of my mods involve a few extra tomes and some extra map flavor. The two mods I have that may interact are Kaige's additional classes and a mod called Tome Hero Skills, that allows points to be distributed for hero skills based on unlocked tomes.

The only other piece I can offer is that during my crashing turn I did nothing hero skills. I'm guessing an AI opponent was doing something with skill points that messed up the game. I hope this is helpful. I truly do enjoy this mod for the massive amounts of additional flavor and for me at last RP it provides.

looks like the game yet again has heavy changes to classes with the latest DLC/patch.

i assume would have to hold off on this mod for a bit to update with the new changes

Enemy AI will always choose druid, assassin or stalker at all times. Hope you will be able to fix it in a update. Thanks for this great mod!

i got confused with how this works, but its like the red crossed swords icons showing the heroes classes, when you hire a hero.

it never changes they are always a druid of some kind, and assasin or stalker, but since its free reset skills on hire then i just change them to whatever anyways so it dont matter

Something id like to see that vanilla never offered is a mage class specializing in blight damage, and one specializing in spirit damage. Your frost class seems pretty sweet, which also wasnt a thing in vanilla for some reason. The other damage types would be really nice too though, since blight only has a few actual abilities that deal it, and im pretty sure spirit damage can only be dealt from base attacks.

UPDATE(4/1/25)
The misc skill tree bug has been fixed but the classes (with subclasses) will no longer disappear. However, the actual subclass node has been tagged as unique which means it will become unavailable to select but will not cause the misc bug to happen with them.

Basically, if you selected all subclasses of Druid, the first and second skill of Druid will still be available for everyone.

If you have the multiclass mod (I assume u do), the scroll is at the bottom of the screen. If you don't have it and just have this mod, the signature skills will show but zoomed out.

I believe the rogue subclass issue is because your mod blocks subclasses from being taken multiple times. I have checked over 50 random heroes on recruit and they all have rogue subclasses for some reason. so once you are far enough along for your recruited heroes to already have subclasses chosen, they automatically are recruited with a rogue subclass and poof, your existing rogue hero loses access to it.

I've also encountered the issue with the Rogue subclass tree disappearing. Had 1 hero partially through the Rogue tree and once I had 3 other heroes with subclasses the tree disappeared with skills I already took being put into miscellaneous and the others becoming inaccessible. The hero who took Rogue then had the ability to select another subclass, keeping their existing Rogue skills.

I'm having the same issue. Playing hotseat and around turn 35 rogue skill tree disappeared. Me and the other player both have 2 heroes. Cleric and paladin, rogue and beast master.

It seems to move to miscellaneous as I choose more classes. I've tried disabling other skill related mods, but it doesn't seem to have an effect.

I'm confused on what you're saying. Are the skills where the nodes are or are they going completely off the tree? If former, while it wasn't intended, it's an inconsequential bug.

The game will fill the nodes with any remaining available skills from left to right.
