It will be soon. I have a plan for it, and possibly a few other items as a potential 'inventory-only' item you can get from say, brushing or trading, or even chests. because a free stock is ALREADY pretty strong, i feel it'd be at least more fair than getting it per kill, sacrificing either a stable workstation, any of the strong DTILTS, or any other practical taunt options.

It will not just be totems of undying though, i'm seeing about other items that might also work

Not yet. It wont' be for a while, since the main issue is the stage hazard code, but it'll be out by the Farlander's completion. I hope it'll be interesting.

I've definitely noticed, Steve's a crutch that brings anyone to a menace to even many pro players. Much as I'd like to say they have counterplay, it's more that the counterplay's very particular and even then they'd have to be played by someone very competent at that. Not to say they're impossible to beat, I've made the damn guy and my friends can now and again pull a KO, since their main issue is having too many tools to work with that they're exceedingly open if they don't pick right.

Balance is still in the works, so tweaking some numbers down is again on the line after some more features are done, but Steve is almost feature complete at this point.

This mod have lots of thoughtful thing and mechanics but... Steve's too strong. It doesn't require any skill from you so that you can easily introduce your enemies into combos. Because of this, I can't play this mod with my friends honestly. (or maybe I'm just stupid and don't understand that this character can be easily outplayed by anyone else.) Otherwise, it's very cool, that you did so many variations for skills. Also, I love how how this character is worked out in terms of mechanics.

there are some bugs he is planning to keep just as a warning, i know from adding him on steam.

such as: steve when both players use one alt on online mode the other steve is seen as not a new character sprite but rather the steve sprite recolored like the original. i know because i played with him and the bug happened and he thought it was funny lol

he is planning to fix as many bugs as possible though. such as in the next bug fix patch he said he would fix the damn legs being gone from dspecial.

keep your hopes up for patches rather than begging for bugs to get fixed, he probably plans on fixing almost all of them.

oh and also how the hell is predux the top third most popular char this week?

Before the final version is finished, you should change back to the previous version, because there are too many problems and bugs......

There are, so I hope that I can get enough of them fixed before a real complete release. I've left the archived version up in the description and in an earlier comment if you want to use the old one still. But this is not a definitive version yet until all thigns are implemented.

There are more and more bugs in this mod, and a lot of skins have been added, but there are still a lot of problems, changing skins or showing Steve's style, etc., it doesn't feel as good as before......

this is like my main lol but what is this new update? it broke like everything... Could yall publish the old one again or like make it a different mod? Still looking forward to more updates tho but make sure to play test it a lot more before pushing. Anyway great work love it besides the bugs

An incomplete update to the Redux Overhaul is pushed. While not everything is out and polished (some things still need to be added and tweaked and re-fixed), I do want to push it out in some playable fashion, and have kept you all waiting a little for something. Bugs will be present, for sure.

Totem of Undying, replacement for an upspecial that basically gives them a free stock. It had bugs but in the coming update I'm reworking and shuffling a LOT of the moves around, and moving the totem of undying to another type of gimmick.

i do plan to. a larger update to overhaul a lot of systems and sprites are underway and while the art will take a step back, it should be a lot more consistent.
there will be things added and shuffled around too, so keep an eye out

There has always been an issue with using a fishing rod to cause the character's armor to show only the lower half of the body, and the upper half of the breastplate and helmet not to show up...Hopefully you'll fix it when you have time

yeah lag has been a persistent issue, but i am working on it. rather, working on a code overhaul to hopefully solve the lag thing, since this has been thus far an incremental update that piled new thing after new thing.

while i havent played the character yet, would i be allowed to help with some of the spritework? i might not be good with some of it, but i want to be involved with a mod for this game someday but i dont have that possiblity since im shit at coding. and even then, i might be unable since i only have ms paint sadly :/

you can also combine slime with some of your other tools for some fun interactions like for eamples you can fast fall hit a mace on it to go really high

fishing rod can be inputted via a neutral strong input (strong button without putting in any other direction). Alternatively, attack+shield works too.

As for the slime block, it's a solid article and bounces many things away, so it's more of a quick wall between you and someone in front of you. Not much useful, but handy to stop someone charging you without the timing.

There are also some problems, that is, when the original TNT is replaced with other skills, the item in hand is still TNT, for example, I replaced TNT with a lightning rod, and I used the combo skill again to place the TNT display in my hand (the inventory is still invisible, only the number of blocks is displayed, and the rest of the weapons and tools are not) Please repair or add something

Inventory? do elaborate on that.


Though for armor vanishing in certain circumstances, that's just because sprite overlays haven't been added for those sprites.
Technically, armor shouldn't be going anywhere except when you're beaten enough or KO'd.
Just visually, it disappears because I haven't made overlays for every sprite.
