@Fenris not likely, the ships being spawned are based on blueprints in the mod files, these versions of the blueprints usually have those thrusters included.

Awesome mod, thanks! Nothing like taking down a ship, shooting off all of its turrets, then having to destroy half the ship because of an inhibitor :/

Do you happen to know if there is a way to get rid of proprietary items? That is another thing that bugs me. I took over the ship, and yet still get penalized. Not everyone wants to mine for a living in SE. I like to fly what I capture :D

Hey just a heads up, you may want to be careful about how specifically the mod functions. MES' original creator liked to DMCA submods that affect the inhibitors. He's retired, but that's why the old ones kept getting taken down. I'm not privy to the specifics, but I recommend doing what you can to make sure absolutely none of MES' code is in this, and to potentially host on other sites too.

So, basically, inhibitor are scripts that can be , Technicaly, be attached to anything.

There are inhibitor block (one per inhibitor type), The principle of this mod is that it's detect them and shut them down. However, when the script is attached to a gyroscope or a landing gear then it cannot be detected when outside of the MES mod, and I can't do anything to them as they don't appear as inhibitor for other mods than MES.

Thank you. But.. What's this about a gyro being able to damage a player again? It works through custom code, like pirates do?

It has been updated to work on any inhibitor block.

Apparently having a gyro which damage the player is not a bug and excpected by the MES Devs, and I can't do anything outside of the mod for that.

I'm looking into whats happening, and might have a solution for some block, but may be not for all of them.

That's a shame. Hopefully it's something that can be fixed and isn't a huge work for him. Specially since he has retired from modding.

@Arbiter It is as a few other players reported. Parallax is the main offending faction.

Modlist is MES(and requirements), this mod, Parallax Concepts, Pravda Heavy Industries, Independent Contractors, ASSERT(and it's related requirements) in this specific order.

This can be recreated by installing MES, your mod and Parallax, and awaiting for a Parallax ship or base encounter.

@FMHikari Do you have more info on the partial "workingness" of the mod? Some case where you have checked it not working?

If yes, can you create a post with following info :
- Modlist (ideally, you should just try that with M.E.S and some ship pack)
- How to recreate the issue (a link to a world would be wonderful)

Yeah this mod isn't working sadly. there was a paralax ship just now with a player inhibitor that nearly got me.
and before during my old post it was a ship with a jetpack inhibitor.

I dont know much about modding in space engineers. But how difficult would it be to make an options menu?
I have a specific hatred for the player inhibitors. The others are fine to me.

thx man i was so sad after seing that the mod "no inhibitors" was gone. even downloaded it did not work anymore somehow......
