No big spoilers from me. But @ichneumonid , after finding the wreck, is there more trail to follow? I don't see a clue there. It was a great story thought - thank you! I hope to construct one myself one day, based Ecthros's real solar systems mod.
Great job on the designs, especially the small-grid structures. Yes I had some trouble with vehicles not moving, too, but a bit of cut-n-paste soon solved that.
I didn't get much further beyond the points I mentioned in the other message. I splatted into a mountain shortly after getting airbone. So I got to start over. So no further balancing suggestions for now.
I debated with myself about making the story more challenging to follow. I ultimately decided to keep the navigation fairly simple, although I did add that one link in the story with the satellite where you have to figure out where to go next based on clues rather than a direst GPS marker. In an older version there were four satellites and you had to use triangulation to calculate coordinates. So far I have only had one person say they got stuck and could not figure out where to go next, and you saying you wish it were more difficult. I would be happy to hear other opinions on this balance since I am working on a new scenario that will not have any GPS markers.
-First vehicle needed to be cut-pasted with admin-tool to get the wheels properly working.
-The GPS markers provided in the tablets makes it kind of easy to go to the next location. I would be much more of a puzzle if people have to find their way around with only general directions. Then there is more need to go back to known markers to recharge. Even just driving around people would encounter what is mentioned eventually imho. (I went the wrong way around to get to the grinder marker and noticed it wasn't even there. But somewhere else. Found both eventually)
I also noticed some misbehavior in the rovers when I found them, which I'm sure isn't what you normally see. The ones on connectors refused to come lose; the one that wasn't on a connector would pop ridiculous wheelies without moving much, and eventually flipped and crashed.
One thing to note, I don't normally have any of your listed mods installed, so the game installed them just for the scenario. That might also be a cause for why it behaved differently for me.
