I can't get this to work reliably either. I tried all orientations, with LOS, without LOS, it has plenty of power, yet it only detects other grids under ~770 meters, for whatever reason.

The jammer seems to work, but the radar almost not at all. Also, it's not clear whether or not the radar has a cone like area of effect, so the orientation would matter at all, or if it's a square/sphere detection field.

If anyone managed to get this to work, please help a brother out.

I'm having the same issue as @Eevee, I know I use to get detections at a much greater range. Could the last SE update have broken something?

how does the system work in caveman terms, ive throw it on my ship but i cant seem to be able to detect shit unless im 5km away.

in other words, i should be able to sit in my base, lock onto something with a cruise missile bc its within range of the radar (sat is only 32km up) and hit it. Im not even seeing the hud markers from this mod for anything near me, just whats near the sat.

So i built a satellite and put a radar on it (basic one, has 50km range) and linked it with a laser antenna. Its only showing me radar pings from near the sattelite and nothing on the planet that im pointing it at (a.k.a my base) but i can see the literal antennas on my hud from them. Does it not actually display that far

Does the lock actually function like a vanilla lock? As in will weapons that are told to focus on locked target focus on a target locked through this mod beyond the 800m range? Does it integrate with AI blocks to let them lock onto targets using these radars? I see a comment about vanilla+ framework below mine. Do vanilla+ guided missiles lock onto targets?

If locking actually does copy vanilla lock-on mechanics, what happens if I lock onto a target with the vanilla lock-on while I lock onto a different target with this mod?

also @Kieran514 it looks like hes making his own version of everything surrounded around vanilla+ which honestly is arguably better than WC

I know this isn't compatible with weaponcore, but what isn't working? Like, I know it wouldn't be able to help guide weapon fire, but what if we just use it to find grids? or does weapon core just break the whole thing?

In simpler terms than the hard math, how do you get ships to detect other ships better? Trying to test it out but I'm not having any luck at the moment

The rotation controls don't have anything to do with radar. Since the radar blocks are LCD panels, that's actually the control to rotate the image/text on the screen.

Is there anyway to remove the sound or to lower it? I already play with the game quite quietly and this mod is much much too loud.

This mod is sadly not working for me, it's only giving me LCD type interactions for toolbar and I'm not getting any radar controls, however the radar detection seems to work

Another radar mod with no radar for weaponcore just crash game instantly during opening G menu how this game crash work? other non-weaponcore mods won't crash you game if you open G menu mod destription need possible crash warning if mod are combined with multiple weaponcore mods because this issue can THEORETICALY CORRUPT WORLD SAVES or cause continous FPS lags after removing mod.

ngl weapon cores is just a supperior combat expernice than usual se, weapon core you have the chance to specify where your shit will target and you can target your self for better targeting

To those mentioning weaponcore, I will not make it compatible because WC is incompatible with a lot of vanilla stuff by their design, and I don't feel its worth the effort on my end to make my stuff compatible with WC as I personally do not have much experience with it, either using it or modding wise.

@Odinfin that should not be happening, I'll look into it. Make sure theres no radars on other grids that have a data link to your seat though. It is currently intended that they are visible no matter what, but the radars themselves should not function when turned off.

First of all, the visual effects of this mod are really cool. But I have noticed there is no way of turning it off, even when you toggle the radar block. Is this intended or just something you haven’t gotten around to yet?

Possible to make it not detect grids attached to larger grids, this has issues regarding custom turrets and such detecting them as gunships or fighters instead of the main ship.

wow, I sure do love how weaponcore just auto removes other mods that have the audacity to use a vanilla weapon feature, this is so cool and epic.

Tried the mod, sadly doesn't work with weaponcore. In singleplayer I kept getting messages, that the Radar jammer is conflicting with weaponcore and is removed from the world. Tried setting it up on a dedicated server and the server kept crashing. All the negative stuff aside, love the mod, great job!

It should work with weaponcore imo, it doesn't affect the weapons specifically and it's mostly just visuals.
