okay, i tried with Edgewalker 3 AND Meitou both researched and with Just Meitou researched and both result in the same as before.. the only mod i have that should be affecting anything about meitou is a retexture and as far as i could tell no other mods alter the crafting tags. As soon as i find the culprit i will be deleting that mod and never touching it again lmao

okay, i've found something interesting. I have Edgewalkers 1, Edgewalkers 3, and Meitou Smithing. I have no Edgewalkers 2 research. Im unsure if there is meant to be one or not, but it struck me as odd.

okay, upon looking i still cant find any mod that could possibly be causing it unless im just stupid. So I validated files and even started a new game. So when i find out whether or not all of that worked, i will let you know.

I've given my mod list a thorough look though a handful of times, but i will do so again tomorrow to see if maybe i overlooked one. And if not that, then i will validate and let you know if that works!

I think you may have another mod that may be altering meitous. I'd take a look through anything that may alter them, and if that doesn't work, validate your game files.

Unfortunately i tried that hoping it would solve it, but it didnt. do you think a mod cache wipe could fix it.?

It sounds like you might have something that affects the Homemade manufaturer tag- perhaps a mod that once added Meitou to that list and then removed it, cause nothing should be doing that here. I've had no problems with further additions to the list, but maybe something removed Meitou from the list, or disabled altogether. Either way, the only real suggestion I can make is trying to put Endgame Research on the bottom of your load order to see if that fixes it somehow.

so i have an issue and im not sure how to fix it. i've uninstalled any other mods that could possibly be conflicting with the meitou crafting of this mod, but everytime i try to craft an edge type 3 and it crits to meitou, the model # is blank and the weapon looks like it has no texture and just looks like a blurry mess... any ideas?

The chip needs to be in your inventory, and your target needs to be in a cage

How reprogramming chips works do i need to cage them and give them the chip? i don't understand how it works, also does it conflict prisoner recruitment mods?

I would agree, but the mod adds a slight chance to craft weapons of a grade higher than meitou. The min-max grind is real

The book printing research doesn't add anything, but rather makes bookmaking benches faster.
It's still manual, but faster.

If you've not been to the Ashlands with your existing save yet, then you should be able to, yes.
The added meitou spawns might need an import to get working though, but not needed since there's a meitou research added along that.

I found time to fix the flintlock and musket models.
I will be making their standalone port shortly.

The flintlocks are highly un-optimized, and I wouldn't feel comfortable with doing a standalone until their models get redone.
I'm pretty burnt out, so that's something a bit down the road.

The FCS is simply too limited in how it functions to make it all work in one package.
The old way it functioned was that even if there was 10% water, it would work at 100% efficiency.
That was unintentional and a bug. It needed a workaround, and so it's a bit janky now, but FUNCTIONAL

It is impossible to make it function in it's intended way without just "working."
Having it be manual using wells is the only workaround, that way it functions according to the actual ground water contents.
Think of it as having your pumps separate from your plant. It must be moved over manually sure, but otherwise it functions as intended.
The power generation it grants is simply too large to be an issue with having more wells.
Most cases, just one geothermal plant is ALL you need.
