Im having something weird, when I enable it the version for the mod (10.5..?) goes orange and it prevents me from creating the world, fix?

Can put my penny into the crash pile as well. Game CTD when choosing anything but Chosen in adventure mode.
Default Large island with minor amount of extra megafauna.

World Size: Medium
Civilizations: High & Very High cause crashes beyond year 50; Mid seem to at year 250
Other settings do not seem to have an impact.

strange indeed.. give me some details on your world gen, so I can try it myself, please. I don't want this mod to be the reason an older/larger world not working

Strange... I have done plenty testing and it seems to relate to either civilization amount/size and world age.

If the world is not too populated, the game works with the mod. If it is highly populated, it crases to desktop upon attempting Hero or Ordinary. Chosen seems to still work; perhaps cause the Kobolds aren't selectable there.

@raylionheart is it only crashing with this mod? I did a fresh install with and without dfhack and everything works fine. could go into adventure mode, choose the kobold and kill a bunch of humans

Hmm, whenever I click Adventurer, the game crashes with this mod. Have no other mod running, except DF Hack

depending on world gen, they might only be available as the ordinary adventurerer. I know it sucks, but like most non main races, they got shoved there. except if they do some heroic stuff in world gen I guess

finally found the reason for the mod not working on linux! I had a filepath that said LEATHER instead of leather. thats all it took to crash on linux! I was searching a lot for that in the past but now it works!
Virok, I believe you can go back to playing native. I believe the game runs way better without proton :)

On a side note, the game freezes for an unknown reason after reaching 'preparing graphics - cute kobolds' during world generation. Running DFHack, no other mods installed.

Found error in log related to typo in graphics_creatures_kobold_layered.txt:

Tile page token not recognized: KD_BODY_SPECIAL

Ah, yes, it works! I went into the mods folder and found two identical copies of this mod. Don't know how these things happen, but I got weapons and shields to show up at last. Thanks for checking!

@dubious so I made a fresh install of the game and deleted all my mods and redownloaded them through steam. the mod works fine for me. maybe something got messed up on your end?

Oh, good! It's certainly present for me with nothing else installed. I noticed it was in your 'Known Issues', so I was thinking to look into the files myself. Better that you do, 'cause i was getting lost in there, lol.

@mechadude kobolds are small and will not produce armor on there own. You would have to make a fort to make them some armor. (Also the starting gear fits)
Once you order them to make like breastplate, click on the magnifying Glas and specify the size

This is genuinely a great adaptation, so thanks for doing it! I got a question though (that may be a more general game question), is there anyway to reliably get gear of the right size?

Can't seem to start Adventure with a full normal kit.

Just a little unlucky. For some reason many races get dumped to only be playable underneath peasant. Also they often get put into the intelligent wildlife categorie

okay everyone. just put out and update to give you guys child and baby sprites! sadly They don't have proper portraits as of now.
also the children don't have sprites for clothes. so you have to be a bit patiant ^^'

have the bite mod just somewhere at the bottom of your mod list and it should work no problem :)

when in combat (adventure mode) you attack (A), choose the bodypart you wish to attack and scroll down to venomous bite. should be right under the regular bite. the kind of poisen you inject is random and I think kobolds are immune to there own poison
