It's ok Sarg I love you, thanks for fixing some of the problems from before

Not sure why most people are removing a mod mid save and wondering why it breaks, almost every game Ive modded, taking a mod out mid save will always cause issues.

Thanks Moo

v2.01:

Fixed the VCE patch for salt
moo 2 Jul @ 2:13pm
Hi. This mod needs the VCE.xml updated to the new VEF framework:

Could not find type named VFECore.ThingDefExtension from node <li Class="VFECore.ThingDefExtension"><deepColor>(0.95, 0.7, 0.54)</deepColor><transparencyMultiplier>0.6</transparencyMultiplier></li>
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 28 Jun @ 2:07pm
Alternatively: don't ever remove mods from a save. Seriously, don't. If only for the reason that no modder will ever troubleshoot a save where it has been done. It's not worth the hassle
Ash 28 Jun @ 2:03pm
@Sarg Bjornson You can remove most mods mid save with the Mid Save Saver mod or by manually save editing. I updated to 1.5 recently on a 200+ mod list and have a huge colony with tons of deep resources on a 325 size map. Either this mod or another deep drill mod couldn't handle it and my zones started bugging out. I'm not telling people to uninstall your mod, I'm trying to help people recover their saves.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 26 Jun @ 10:51pm
This is the proper way to uninstall any mod mid save: don't
Ash 26 Jun @ 5:42pm
If you uninstall this mod and you cannot see map drill resources highlighted then edit your save file and delete everything between these two values. This is the proper way to uninstall this mod mid save.

v2.0:

Updated to RimWorld 1.6
Ketjak 1 May @ 10:45am
Why isn't this vanilla? Ridiculous. You're doing the work we need.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 5 Mar @ 10:38pm
If only people got into their heads that you CAN'T remove mods mid-save.....
Ebon Phoenix 5 Mar @ 5:51pm
Confirmed that the suggestion in the link worked.... just had something come up on the deep resource scanner.... and it shows up as expected. Also, all the other overlays that weren't working seem to be fine. Not at all related to this mod.
Ebon Phoenix 5 Mar @ 2:19pm
Not sure if this will help or not, but also having the issue KX and DeadBeard mentioned, and came across this post: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/294100/discussions/0/3013438019098550831 . It appears it could be due to deep resources map being borked because a modded mineral got removed. By removing the deep minerals section (which gets rid of all that were previously found) from a save it fixed other's challenges. In my case, I'm trying it now and while I couldn't figure out how trigger a new find after a quick look, overlays *seem* to be working better. I hope this helps, and Sarg thanks for all your hard work... you have so many mods I consider essential.
KX 20 Jan @ 10:41am
I'm having the same issue what DeadBeard said, ik this mod isn't the culpit but since it's the only place I see some people having the same issue as me I decided to comment here, so if some one knows what it could be please let me know
Nerond 22 Dec, 2024 @ 11:56am
To anyone having issues with not seeing scanned minerals - MAKE SURE AT LEAST ONE SCANNER IS TURNED ON & HAS POWER. I though this was some mod conflict, but apparently this is necessary to see the ores, even when they are already discovered.
Kimo' 16 Dec, 2024 @ 7:22pm
One of those mods I can't play without, thanks Sarg!
Quod 3 Nov, 2024 @ 1:20pm
Have the same problem thought it was this mod but i dont even have it installed :p.
DeadBeard 23 Jul, 2024 @ 3:15pm
one more detail, my map has this weird area on the left side of the map that is white, like it was a zone, but it just looks like a graphic error or some glitch
DeadBeard 23 Jul, 2024 @ 2:55pm
im hoping you guys can help me, but for some reason I cannot see any of my scanned minerals, no color or zones are showing. consequentially, i cant see roof zones or heat map either. I checked to see if the mods were enabled, they are, I checked to see if I enabled toggle visibility of zones, and I can. I dont see any log errors regarding this issue either which is weird I dont understand what I am missing here.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 3 Jun, 2024 @ 10:44am
Because it's the VE Framework
Anon 3 Jun, 2024 @ 10:17am
Why does this require another mod?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 31 May, 2024 @ 12:12am
I've tried capping it, please tell me if this works

v1.1:

- Fix: Capped brightness calculation to 0-1 to avoid colours reverting back to pitch black on load
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 30 May, 2024 @ 11:12pm
How, though? I have never been able to do that :-S
MortalSmurph 30 May, 2024 @ 5:06pm
Work around fix for now:

Choose the colors you want. Options -> Open Save Data folder. Have that folder up. Exit the game.

Go up a folder from the saves folder. Go to the Configs folder. Open: Mod_3203269467_DLCMod.xml -- that's the config file for this mod

Find any color value over 1.000. Set that color value to 0.999. Save the file and close.

The issue is that colors with values over 1.000 can be chosen. Those colors get reverted to black on reopening.
MortalSmurph 30 May, 2024 @ 5:57am
I was able to reproduce the issue with my mods solely being Colored Deep Resources, Harmony, and Vanilla Expanded Framework. Would you like a video? Also, I cannot easily edit the color of gold without silver also being changed.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 27 May, 2024 @ 11:03pm
No, that doesn't happen. You guys have another mod causing it. I have tried and cannot replicate the bug at all
XYM04689733 23 May, 2024 @ 8:00am
basically every reload causes the colours to get darker until they are all just black +1
ab 23 Apr, 2024 @ 10:18am
basically every reload causes the colours to get darker until they are all just black
Gondawn 18 Apr, 2024 @ 7:00am
Colour settings break after every game start
UnWiseSage58 8 Apr, 2024 @ 12:38am
never mind i figured it out .
to delete the old version i had to right click on the 1.4 version an delete from my files on my computer then refresh rimpy an it get rid of the error that rimpy through about incompatible duplicates
UnWiseSage58 8 Apr, 2024 @ 12:31am
how do i get rid of the 1.4 vesrion made by Kihoki from Rimply?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 2 Apr, 2024 @ 10:32am
Yes, it requires the VE Framework, which almost everyone has
UwU 2 Apr, 2024 @ 10:28am
1.4 version required a framework, does this one require it too?
Morloc 1 Apr, 2024 @ 10:00am
This is a good mod. Period.
Morloc 1 Apr, 2024 @ 10:00am
I've decided to stay away from Marge for Rick's sake. Normally I'd pout, and make some hairy back joke, but she really was pretty sweet. You're a lucky man Rick; don't take that girl for granted!
You're correct btw, it doesn't make sense that your Ground Penetrating Scanner is finding minerals on ice sheets...unless you dig really REALLY deep under the sheets (like I did with Marge).
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 28 Mar, 2024 @ 11:55pm
Irrelevant anyway, as this mod doesn't change what the base game has to offer, only the colours
KLSNR 28 Mar, 2024 @ 5:37pm
But think about it rick, Rimworld is an alien world, and has remains from dead civilizations. Maybe your wife is cheating you with your neighbor.
ricksteveslol 28 Mar, 2024 @ 1:15pm
can you find deep resources on a ice sheet? if so that doesnt make much sense, as its just ice ontop of water
Agamenton 27 Mar, 2024 @ 11:38pm
this is one of my always-enabled mods, so thank you
Visandar the Unliving 27 Mar, 2024 @ 5:49pm
One of my favourite mods, a must have for me.
Thank you very much for keeping it updated.
The new colour customization feature is very much welcome
The Blind One 27 Mar, 2024 @ 2:44pm
Thank you for providing continued backwards compatibility! Some modders only update to 1.5 but this makes mod lists that much easier to maintain. :steamhappy:
