given it doesn't preserve as intended, and the error it spawns talking about a tick rate method not being applied, i suspect this may have a coding problem that's preventing it from halting deterioration.

I can confirm what @Jaded, it's the same in my case, it was only 2 days and the copse is rotting. Something's not right.

This did, in fact, -not- preserve the corpse put into it. A corpse obsession break opened it up sometime later and the body was already desiccated. Only been ~22 days and was powered the whole time and buried while intact. :(

Does the mod work for you guys? I put some corpses in it shortly after they died, and I just checked, and they're now desiccated.

For those that still disagree with the Q&A above, Cryo requires extremely cold temperatures for preservation, which is NOT what cryptosleep does.

It's the same price as a normal cryptosleep casket and only corpses can be put inside it.

is it cheaper than a normal cryptosleep casket and will it kill a pawn if they use it, if it is cheaper I feel like it would make sense for it to be lethal for any alive pawn and it would not be necessary for it to have the life support features

The main upsides are that you don't have to worry about things like the corpse rotting during a solar flare, colonists getting upset about seeing the corpse or it being unburied, animals, ghouls or starving colonists eating them or hauling them to a monument sarcophagus if they're accidentally unforbidden, etc. (all of which are problems I faced doing that, and reasons why I decided to make the mod)

It'd be really cool, in my opinion, if you made these able to be stood up. That way you put more of them into a single room. Any possibility of that?

@Ewell Huh, that makes sense, actually. And it tends to be earlier game that these are needed. I'm planning to make a collective research page for all of my mods that would require one, soon, so I'll keep that in mind for when I do.

If I could make a suggestion, perhaps put these lower in the tech tree? After all preserving a dead body is presumably simpler than a live one.

My dumbass thought this was a cryosleep casket where you have to pay in silver to have your pawns be suspended depending on how much you pay it, like the Pulowski Preservation Shelter from Fallout. Funky mod.

Check you’ve set the crypto coffin a higher priority than the sarcophagus in it’s storage settings. That’s my best guess.

This might have been addressed but I couldn't find it:
Colonist died. I rush-built a cryptocasket but even if I set his corpse as the owner, pawns refused to bury him there, opting for the regular un-assigned sarcophagus next door. Any ideas? Mod list is pretty big so I'm sure it's some kind of conflict.
