rabid pikachu... we went over this already... those fragments are not unique therefore not worth cluttering the menu with 125 possible combinations. espicially with some fragments being more rare than others..

you guys know how sometimes you find "soul gem fragments" or what ever, what if you could add it so if you have 5 or so of tem, you can mae a petty soul gem? eh? idias?!?!

I've tried it, it's a great and very useful mod, since easier to find the small gems and I agree with ancient.samurai regarding the combination of each soul gems to create one black one, coz the black soul gem is the hardest to find, thanks for the creation Zekk it's awesome

OH! I have an idea! Instead of crafting the different soul gem fragments into different gems.... how about making one of e4ach of all five required to make a black soul gem? They're the same color anyways, so it would make sense! and since one of those fragments is so hard to find it keeps things nice and balanced, while still keeping to the simplicity and magnificance of the mod. Could also make it so that the common four fragments can be crafted into a grand or greater soul gem. At the least, all five for a black soul gem would make finding the fragments a happy occasion. I love having a stock of the black soul gems because I enjoy killing the NPCs more than the creatures and animals, so looking for all five fragment pieces would be like hunting for easter eggs.

Finally, a mod that lets me use all of those useless empty soul gems I have laying around my house. And they thought I had no reason for hoarding them!

@Xan - Aye on all accounts that is true. This particular mod's beauty lies in its simplicity and elegance.

@zekk; on that note about the unique "duplicate" items like the fragment/shards, the only way I've seen any other mod handle this issue is to have duplicate crafting recipies (which I imagine are a major PITA to implement when there's lots of same-name-different-ref-object variations). Of course this clutters up the crafting list.

@Doctor DJ Jones - I would have loved to turn shards into pettys, but.... Bethesda made 5 different fragments all named soul gem fragment. each unique in its own way. given the way crafting was done within the game its impposible to make each type of fragment interchangable.

Well, I finally got the chance to play again, and test out this mod of yours. It is freakin' AMAZING! I never thought such a simple mod would have such a possitive and huge impact on my gaming experience! I never have to worry about the glitched soul gem filling ever again! I can just murder bandits and wizards all day long! WOOOOO HO-HO-HO-HOOOOO!!!

add the soulgem shards that are sometimes found to be able to turn into petty soul gems? it would be greatly apprectiated.

Sounds like you gave this some serious thought in making it a balanced mod, instead of a "get whatever you want" mod. Also, no fluff, as you pointed out. Basic purpose, simple interface, and a balance in features. I'll give it a shot.
