@R_Romach_R -- I did already provide per-race army images for the XL mod, since that mod changes army game data files anyway.

I am considering it as a new mod as well...just not sure I want to have to constantly update game files with beta patches, etc.

@R_Romach_R -- Yeah I loved that about DW1. For some reason the DW2 team uses the exact picture for all infantry types, even though they have separate image references in the game files. Seems like they intended to have separate infantry images per race, but just never got around to it.

It's one of many things I've been waiting for them to fix for 3.5 years :( Modders don't get much love from DW2.

A mod CAN be made to give each race separate images, but that mod would have to edit game files (most of my mods just replace vanilla art assets to keep things as compatible as possible). I've considered doing this (and am thinking about it again).

The problem with editing game files is, because of how DW2 treats mods, I can't just change the picture. If I want to change something, DW2 makes me include all stats, modifiers, abilities, references, records for troops of each race, even if I just wanted to change the picture.

Are there any probability, that you can make army icons like in DW1? I mean in DW1 every race had it's own icons for troops (different icons for different troop tipes)

@Aboszor -- that's fair. They are a bit of a different flare. I know the synth troops aren't in game yet. I'll take a look at the robot troops in game to see how they look. I did have an alternate robot troop icon I made for the XL mod. I'll see about changing that.

Great mod, so much easier to differentiate the troops this way! My only critique is that the robotic and synth troop symbols clash with overall style. They look way too detailed, compared to the other symbols.

Updated to v1.2.0 ... mainly to get rid of the AK-47-ish infantry icon :D

Works fine with new DLC, no updates needed at this time. Still planning on tweaking some things, regardless :D

Great, the original symbol once made me think my game texture was lost

@Iron Dice -- thanks friend! Some of the troop types aren't used by the game yet...maybe it'll be something the DW2 activates in the future. These symbols will be ready for when that day comes :D

@Metalium -- I think so too! I know some folks like the NATO-inspired symbols and that's fine, but I like these more :D

Solid improvement. Thanks very much; excellent job on those.

It's clearer this way, ty

@Bacon -- that's fair. they both are kinda low profile and pointy. Might take a look at an alternate version. Thank you!

I think the infantry vs armor symbols may be too similar at a glance since they have a similar shape. I personally stick to NATO counters; this is just something I noticed passing by.

@borealis -- thanks friend! I'm working with some community folks to find a way to split out troop symbols used in the UI with the graphics used in the battle screen. It might be possible to have separate graphics that show actual troops for use in battles. Could be fun, if only for the "pew pew" factor :D

If I get something like that going, I'll either expand this mod or link to a new mod.

Really nice, thx for your work :)
