OK, so after some additional playing and testing, I think I understand what's happening with the detections happening in the "wilderness" for me. After seeing some markings come back repeatedly in the same spot despite me clearing them off the map, I found that some correspond to basements and the like, where the things it was searching for were in the basement. A simple explanation that makes perfect sense in retrospect.

Only...some of these are truly in the wilderness with no underground areas to my knowledge. That is, unless they're implemented but not yet accessible or I simply haven't found the access point.

Does this detect possible foraging finds as well? Occasionally I get small circles from the passive search in the middle of wilderness, or outside where nothing is actually there. No containers, nothing on the ground, but the radar made the mark as if something were.

Also, would it be possible to flag a zone or something where the mod doesn't make passive search marks? Otherwise it seems to repeatedly mark home base supply stashes where you've stored things every time you're nearby.

@Reifel, I wanted to let you know about a couple of changes in the recent update for your Dragon Radar mod.
The id in mods\Dragon-Radar\42\mod.info was changed from "id=3172486046/Dragon-Radar" to "id=Dragon-Radar". This might cause some players to lose the mod from their load order, and they may need to re-enable it in their save games.
The "require" entry in mods\Dragon-Radar-reddit\42\mod.info still points to "3172486046/Dragon-Radar". Since the main mod's ID has changed, the "Dragon-Radar-Reddit" submod can't be enabled because it can't find its dependency.
Thanks for your hard work on the mod!

looking for list is now persistent per game save, and fixes in all moddata saves issues

i fixed the b42, it requires to have a pencil in inventory to work, i patch with @Tito fix too

on b42 the small need to zoom in max to be able to see

If you can hear the sound but the small marker doesn’t appear on the map, try changing the line in DR_MapMarker.lua from
textureSymbol:setScale(ISMap.SCALE * /10)
to
textureSymbol:setScale(ISMap.SCALE * 0.2)
— that should fix it.

@OngirRats I believe I'm seeing the same thing, but they appear to show up if you set the default custom map mark symbol size to maximum.

The problem I'm seeing is that it seems to continuously add the map marks every single time it detects something multiple times, layering the marks on top of each other. Clearing the marks requires deleting the "same" mark multiple times. Ideally it would not mark the map if a mark for the thing detected already exists.
OgnirRats 23 Aug @ 12:25pm
I see big marks working but unable to see small marks, i hear them tho

Idc what anyone says THANK YOU FOR THIS.
Truly a QOL improvement for me and my friend!

this feels like i am cheating, in fact it one step away from just spawning in the items so really just cheat and spawn what you need. Actual cheating takes one less step.

thanks for report and great usage review Alucard, i check here and its fine, its a conflict from other mod, i did now a update to fix other error related to save mentioned on Bug Report discussion on Mar (that will stop saying the mod has error)

when you found the mod that broke toggle list button, share with us
Alucard 22 Jun @ 9:00pm
Hi Mate, Your Mods is not working well anymore in 42.9, it is a great MOD, especially if playing with Insane or high population, looting must be in a efficient way and precise, in and out.

So yeah this MOD is awesome, too bad after update to 42.9 I cannot toggle list anymore and give an error message. Hope you have sometime to lok around the Mod and fix it, keep healthy Mate
Reifel  [author] 8 Jun @ 7:53pm
good point, in the future i can add a toggle button, to enable to do background process and remember an past location explored that has the new item recently added, (maybe be costly, maybe can include an menu to explore discovered and remove/ignore some, but its useful)
never thought this possibility but its doable and cool stuff

but now a days, only marks after include it on list
gayonne 8 Jun @ 12:16am
Hi - I'm not exactly sure how this mod works, but is it possible for me to find an item which I have already discovered somewhere on the map which I didn't take with me and is hence not within the area in which I'm located? In other words, would adding an item to the list (for example, a baseball bat) display all of that item's markers on the map, whether discovered or not, or would the markers only be displayed on the map (and sound played) when I'm close to where they are located?

Some for me. Unsure how to craft the watch when Recipe is unknown.
Quilava 3 Mar @ 6:30am
Could you add a movable icon to open the radar, some mod may use the same key, an icon would be better :cta_emo7:

I can't find the crafting recipe in game.And I don't know if it's effective.

Can the author update the mod? It has some issues now.

I also don't see recipe in game, before hotfixes it was working tho
Sir Ya-Drak Vollt 25 Jan @ 8:32am
I can't find the crafting recipe in game, nore do i understand the description of the recipe in here. Help?

on the map circle where the sledgehammer is
but I didn't find one
Skyshadow 17 Jan @ 12:04am
I can't tell if this is actually working. I have many times on my 'list' but even when I get close to them it isn't marking my map. I drove back to my base after being halfway across the map and the items I was 'tracking' that I already have some of in my base were not circled.
Milk 12 Jan @ 10:48pm
Someone mentioned that using this mod is like cheating. But I find it very interesting because it allows me to cleanly sweep away certain items before I leave a town.
Milk 12 Jan @ 10:45pm
Hello friend, could you check the recipe for me? I'm currently playing version B42, and I can't find this item in the crafting menu. Thank you!
Jianghao 5 Jan @ 3:54am
Simply a life saver! The b42 version has some tools that refresh excessively sparsely at default settings!
Reifel  [author] 4 Jan @ 9:08am
fixed, thanks!
FYI your B42 version of the mod still uses the old recipe format for crafting which results in broken UI elements. "recipe Make Dragon Radar" under Electrical.txt needs to be new craftRecipe format.
Sthyu 3 Jan @ 9:43pm
i can find a car?
Dasich84 6 Dec, 2024 @ 2:27am
This mod didn't work for me. if i craft the Dragon Radar i received again only a watch.
Ziabetus 22 Nov, 2024 @ 11:51am
Great mod, very nice for making sure I don't miss Katanas. Side note, it'd be PERFECT if there was a corpse scan togggle.
Parkeveny 24 Oct, 2024 @ 2:19pm
Descargué este mod solo para encontrar la revista de "Como usar generadores" ya que había saqueado todo Riverside y no había conseguido esta revista, y cuando salí con el Radar la revista estaba en la casa de al lado JAJAJAJAJ nice mod
Legion 13 May, 2024 @ 1:22pm
Feels like cheating? So don't use it. Simple.

Your comment feels useless.
Ryan 11 May, 2024 @ 2:57pm
this feels like cheating
Der Schmoint 31 Mar, 2024 @ 10:16am
the big mark works ....
Der Schmoint 31 Mar, 2024 @ 9:53am
Hello..good mod only I don't see any marking on the map..I hear it being drawn but I don't see anything. there is no error either. only when I press clear map an error pops up...
Corvus 27 Mar, 2024 @ 4:03pm
Strange. That's the recipe I've been using. I guess I can just switch from the reddit version to the regular version to get around it
Reifel  [author] 26 Mar, 2024 @ 11:00pm
@corvus the sucess rate is 100%, check on craft icon on left, eletrical tab, dragon radar recipe
Corvus 26 Mar, 2024 @ 8:26pm
What is the chance of successfully crafting the dragon radar? I feel like I've attempted at least 50 times with no success lol
Reifel  [author] 21 Mar, 2024 @ 11:33pm
v2.2, add collapsable ui to looking for list, transparent, resizable
Reifel  [author] 21 Mar, 2024 @ 8:19pm
update 2.1 released
save improvement, add 4k compatibility (thanks KaylaKaze), add option to bigger mark (toggle nerf imprecise mark)
Reifel  [author] 21 Mar, 2024 @ 4:19am
@KaylaKaze thanks! for sharing the improvement, i will test and release
KaylaKaze 21 Mar, 2024 @ 12:18am
I changed link 147 of DR_MapMarker.lua from "ISMap.SCALE / 10" to "ISMap.SCALE * 10" and it's MUCH better.
KaylaKaze 20 Mar, 2024 @ 3:12pm
It seems my issue may have been the size of the circle. I'm playing on a 4k monitor and the circle is barely visible even when zoomed really close. Being zoomed out enough to actually search for it makes it close to invisible. Maybe you could tap into whatever it is that draws arrows to campfires to point an arrow at the item?
