Hi Mallinga. Unfortunately I've not looked at this in 6+ years and have long forgotten much of my knowledge so I don't plan on doing any updates, it would at least need some community help to get going again.

Hello, I would like to put this missions on my server, tested it today (loaded in eden) and unfortunately it throws some errors, eos_core line 115, also only civilians get spawned everywhere (vehicles patrols ect) i guess it should be enemies??? can you please take a look?

Hi Dragon, thank you for your comments :)

The only AI left on the map if all the variables are disabled are the 2 start A10 planes which are required for the camera intro to work, with only 2 AI, this should not be impacting performance at all! The current system that is being used is similar to Alive, AI is only spawned when players get within a certain distance of their spawn points, then they are despawned as players leave the area. Make sure you disable the background AI as well (under Ambient, this will disable most of the other aircraft and boats moving around). The background smoke and tracer fire you sometimes see shouldn't tax systems too much but there are a few of them dotted around the map.

Its been months since I actually last touched the mission, but I intend to go back to it once the next Arma 3 expansion is released and I can program a new race for the new Tanoa map hopefully, during which time I'll take another look at the AI and see what I can do.

Had, lots of fun playing this with friends racing (then had fun using personal arsonal to add in guns and shoot racers from the helicopter).
However I found that even with all ai options off there were still things like a10's and fighting going on. This would often tank the fram rate. Can you please make it so that the ai can be completely disabled, not just mostly.
Also even with ai on they always crash before you reach them, maybe only spawn them when people get close with a chance of spawning to make it random. Spawning all ai at the start and then having them all try and move adds too much cpu load. Alternitivly use something like ALIVE to reduce the load of distant units in missions and prevent ai crashing before you get to them.
I think you should add a option to have a real or virtual ai that follows the leader with the camera lock onto him and all racers get a screen showing the feed.
All in all a lot of fun but has some bugs and inefficientcies that should be delt with.

I'm sorry to hear that, but pretty much everything you described can be turned off in the parameters for better performance.

I think the old version was better.
The planes and helicopters shooting you are just annoying and i have massive framedrops because of the many sctipts.

You should make it so you can use different types of vehicles and also drive in 3rd person so we can practice driving fast/handling at high speeds with all vehicles

I can add in that element yes. But the AI sucks at driving in any kind of competitive way, there would be no challenge in it =P

@Ali - I assume by co-op you mean having a co-driver? I presume its possible, but I would not know how yet =P

I can only speak for myself on this but an hour long drive in a GoKart across Altis sounds kind of fun lol

I have considered this option previously. The problem I find is that in comparison to the sports hatchback, all the other in-game vehicles are much much slower both in terms of top speed and acceleration, it would take you twice as long to finish a course!

If I could somehow adjust the speed parameters of other vehicles, I would probably consider adding this in. For now though just the hatchback =D

this has a lot of replayability, to add to that, you could have a vehicle type option in the PARAMETERs menu.. Ie: Random, Box Trucks, sport car, gokarts.. just a suggestion :)

You can change course by selecting it from the Parameters in the mission setup lobby (top right hand corner of the screen).
