Hello. The author of the Boots and Clothes Expanded mod made changes. As a result, my submod became outdated.

Wait for the update. By the way, what build are you playing on?

hi.
i cant understand, how to fix invisible leg part near boots? i want to use jeans with them, but do not want to see see-through leg.

Yes, but imagine if there was one modpack and I optimized it, this would allow me to maintain identical quality while significantly reducing memory consumption.

Regarding your question: I work only with textures, this avoids unwanted conflicts and has a positive effect on compatibility with other mods.

That may be true, however, without in-game compression and with a big enough modpack, the VRAM consumption is horrendous. My case: maxing out all 12 gigs with 400 mods and risking crashing, as well as having constant stutters and dips in fps upon movement. With texture compression? 6 gigs.

I don’t think the mod works now since the author of the Boots and Clothes Expanded mod updated his mod. Now I have to release an update from my end. And I'm busy right now. But I have plans to update the mod.

And I am primarily focused on optimization and not compression. My difference is in maintaining detail and efficient memory consumption.

While compression loses texture information, creates artifacts and, in general, solving one problem creates another.

I see. So does still work currently? I am on B41 and if the mod is simply missing some of the model optimizations, but covers the rest and works well, then I could use it. Also, does your optimization include mesh (poly-count) rework? Or is it only concerning the textures?
maceleet  [author] 13 Sep @ 11:46am
Not all modders have problems with optimization. But there are also modders who don’t care about optimization. This applies to different games.

As for in-game “texture compression,” my version is superior in every way.

By the way, this mod needs to be updated. And this is what I will do in the future.

So does this provide compressed textures for the mod? As I understand, it is not that these modders did not necessarily fail to optimize them, rather that there is already the "texture compression" setting in the game that, I believe, compresses ALL textures. And that leads to a conflict with other modders that compress the textures already.

to anyone wondering, this submod seems to fix most of the incompatibilities (holes and gaps) on custom clothes, from mods like Brita's and authenticZ. just load THIS submod AFTER the main (ignore any "fix" or "optimization" packs from the original mod) and if you can, put it at the bottom of the load list. props to the author, of course!

I love the pack, but just want to point out that males have a small invisible gap in between their legs and shoes when they equip Short Goth Boots
