Simply elegant!
merge blocks are indeed pretty destructive, although it helps a lot if you get everything as close as psosible to the final position before you activate the merge blocks. That reduces the effects a lot, but i don't know if that helps with such a big mass on a single motor. copy/paste directly onto the ship is the better alternative for sure
However, it doesnt seem to reload properly at all angles of fire. (this may have been mention before I didn't read all comments.) When I fired it at a flat 90 degree angle and tried to reload, the reloading arm rammed into the top of the inside of the barrell. Just wanted to let you know.
Great job though man! Really good.
@azasel yep automatic reloading is possible and not even that difficult. I will use like 10 sensors within the reloading mechanism. Those will activate each other in a chain once u start the reloading. It will start on the left side of the magazin and will use that for reloading till it's empty. Then a sensor turns every sensor on the magazins left side off and activates the ones on the right. The reloading will now use the cartridges over there.
It's actually even a little bit more complex, but that should explain the basics.
Anyway, once I get that operational all the user has to do is press 2 buttons to reload. I could automate that too, but sensors still have a small bug when starting up a world. In order to avoid problems caused by that, I could either make it to press 2 butrons to reload or automate that so u only have to turn a single sensor on (to check if cartridge is in the cannon) before u use the turret. Haven't decided yet
Its possible to make this system automatic without shortcuts?
Was wondering if this was possible; and you sure made it amazing.
Very crazy and good work.
Thanks :)
Tryna build a 3x3x7 mining drone right now haha
gonna turn this into a drone launcher!
Definately. Arron, get your ass over here!
Have you checked out Voicesdark's mods? He has a 'maglock' in his package that is phenomenal, and might help you compact your design. This thing looks like a beast. Great work on this, first impressions tell me it's phenomenal.
Keep doing what you're doing man, this is good stuff.
I Love how it can reload at any angle.
Anyway it's now available. I didn't bother to fill it with ammo. No need to drop the fps by adding those
