There's reason why are they called Seasonal.
It'd also make for a good opportunity to add more maps for all these gamemodes given how many the community has made over the years.
I cant find any description.
2fort invasion is ctf. Just send that map to ctf casual !
Medievial
End of The Line
Player Destruction
Terrortial Control

FFS ya idiots. We know tf2 is a fps game, misc stuff are made for enjoying. VSH/FF2 exist because multiplayer boss fights are good. TF2 ZI isn't completely bullshit unlike others. Majority of community servers doesn't want to use VScript. No wait... ARE THERE ANY SERVERS THAT USES VOLVO ACCEPTED VSCRIPT MAPS ?!
I personally think that whole new mode should be made in 1-2 years or more with respectful level of quality like it happened with VSH.
We should slow down for our own sake and trying to implement new small features, like Perks' perks or Brine's salmen. But saying that people should not making entirely new gamemodes after they made it twice is pointless - they want and will try it again and again.
We can give respectful criticism and find a window for dialogue in Discord or here, if we don't wanna make another stupid drama.
Game will be bloated anyway thanks to live service model, but in other case by mediocre PL and KOTH maps that exploit theme of event and made from one old overused sample.
We need diversity in gamemodes, said high quality of them and support with new maps and their own little features. But for now we should cool off, understand that Vscript modes will be with us from now on and that we should taking care about them being cooler and more balanced.
I feel like more people who think the same should speak out, otherwise the conversation will be dominated by just 1 point of view, a point of view that's far from being universally agreed upon.
Heck, VSH still finds a match in less than a minute, so, people still like it 4 months after the update.
(Yes, I did made one of said gamemodes, precisely BECAUSE I wanted it to exist)
Arcade Mode is something they also have in Overwatch, and we all know how that game is now.
People are here for a FPS experience, not hide & seek, zombie infection, or Saxton Hale (VSH was tho tailored for this game).
Keep this game as it is.
i feel like most players don't use the map selection feature and just tick an entire category and call it a day, but its nice to have it for players that want to curate their experience more finely. i sure would want the ability to filter out some maps from my pool.
your turn, liberals
community servers were once a thriving part of the game, but quickly deteriorated in playercount after Meet Your Match.
to put it simply, this is a UX issue. Gamemodes like ZI and VSH aren't even properly made distinct or categorized in the current system. Those are very popular and well received gamemodes, yet they're thrown in under the really garbage and unorganized misc tab.
I don't see an issue with this idea. Overwatch has a near identical system, and it can also work somewhat similar to what Fortnite has with Creative mode.
People are here for TF2, not an arcade
