WorsethanWorst 24 Mar @ 7:06am
finally i can mess with the polymorph mods and throw hotdogs at the enemies
Exodim  [author] 24 Mar @ 6:51am
you can get the original translations in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Noita\data\translations\common.csv

the hiisi chef [kokkihiisi] is animal_cook
WorsethanWorst 22 Mar @ 7:29pm
how do i get the file with the names like "animal_zombie" and stuff
i'm trying to find the chef name but nobody has it
Noot 13 Nov, 2024 @ 1:31pm
thx
Exodim  [author] 13 Nov, 2024 @ 10:57am
just overwrite it

for instance, item_moon,Moon,Kuu,,,,

replace "Moon" with whatever you want the moon to be named. "item_moon" is the identifier, and "Kuu" is just the finnish name which i preserved for reference and comparison reasons
Noot 13 Nov, 2024 @ 10:19am

Noot 13 Nov, 2024 @ 10:08am

as i said before, just:

> pull the mod from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\881100\3059530047

> paste it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Noita\mods

> modify translation.csv [scroll down or use ctrl+f to find specific translations]

also why are you using microsoft excel, i used notepad to make this mod
Noot 13 Nov, 2024 @ 8:00am

Noot 13 Nov, 2024 @ 7:54am
@Exodim, question, is there an easier way to keep the old names, but just pick and choose what you want, (i want to rename materials and the player for my skin mod)?
Exodim  [author] 23 Jun, 2024 @ 4:40pm
👍🏻
Soul-Burn 23 Jun, 2024 @ 10:49am
Thanks for the reply! I've made a couple of mods for other games and this looks like a simple enough task. If I make it, I'll definitely link to this page / credit.
Exodim  [author] 22 Jun, 2024 @ 3:49pm
i don't necessarily plan on doing that, primarily because i'm lazy, but if you want to do that yourself [or someone else reading this wants to], here's some instructions:

1: pull the mod from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\881100\3059530047

2: copy that folder "3059530047" and paste it in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Noita\mods

3: open the translation.csv file. you'll have to scroll to the bottom of the file, which is REALLY far down, because translation mods behave weird when you omit most translations .

4: modify mod.xml and translation.xml to rename the mod to whatever you wish. feel free to credit me there or something but i don't really care lol

5: go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Noita\tools_modding
and run workshop_upload.bat, from there just do as it says

Hello! Would it be possible to add a version where the translation is in parentheses?
i.e. "Ukko (Thunder God)"
Would be a nice way to learn some Finnish words and common naming for communication.
King 30 Apr, 2024 @ 7:42am
will you be updating this for the new update in the future?
Sodium Chloride 11 Apr, 2024 @ 12:28am
why use this when can set the game to Finnish for better immersion?
Exodim  [author] 5 Apr, 2024 @ 2:34pm
yeah they fixed something
terrem88 5 Apr, 2024 @ 9:32am
i didn`t use any other mods.
but today issue seems to be resolved.
i just tested that, not sure if there was any hotfix from Noita or you, but thanks anyway! :steamhappy:
ximbas666 4 Apr, 2024 @ 5:32am
the menu text was removed for me as well
Exodim  [author] 3 Apr, 2024 @ 7:21pm
@terrem88 i don't see any issues on my end, it's most likely another mod that you've installed
terrem88 3 Apr, 2024 @ 3:19pm
starting today looks like this mod removes all the text and buttons in the menu. Had to start with -remove_config to disable it. Perhaps last beta update broke it.
Exodim  [author] 17 Jan, 2024 @ 9:51pm
will do
Prodeses 16 Jan, 2024 @ 12:33pm
You can remove your disclaimer. Vasta and Vihta means the same. Just different dialect. (Vihta is correct, by the way).
Helios 14 Jan, 2024 @ 8:27am
Sweet mod
Smooth.Wrinkle™ 29 Oct, 2023 @ 12:39am
i guess i feel the need to educate myself on Finnish now as i did not recognize it and thought it was just the creators of the game making up words! (sorry folks, american here)
Galma 26 Oct, 2023 @ 12:48pm
Pilkkaa perkele!
Real Noita player will simply learn finnish to understand the meaning of the enemies and such.
mr. unfunny 26 Oct, 2023 @ 5:07am
Very nice
