The combined mod isn't compatible with many other mods because they alter the same files.

Please use the combined mod link above for an updated version. Thank you.

Sorry - just now saw this comment. The mods have been combined. See link in the description.

Can you combine Improved Heavy Fighters and Medium Naval Bombers into one small mod? Not a big overhaul mod like Improved Air Designer.
Colonel O'Neil  [author] 28 Feb, 2024 @ 7:45pm
No, unfortunately not. However, I did incorporate both mods into my "Improved Air Designer" mod now up on Steam.

Compatible with your other mod Medium Naval Bombers?

Go to Steam directory for this mod (Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\394360\3049456199) and go to common\units\equipment and open the "plane_airframes" file (should open in Notepad or some text editor). Do a [Ctrl][F] to look for "cv_small_plane_airframe". You should see something like this:

cv_small_plane_airframe = {
year = 1933

Scroll until you see

module_count_limit = {
module = floats #can't put floats on carrier planes, that would be silly
count < 1
}

Change the '1' to a '2'. Save. Voi la! Floats on CV planes!
timotheus 7 Nov, 2023 @ 8:36pm
this is off-topic, but can you make it so you can put floats on carrier airframes?

Updated for 1.13.5

My mod does not adjust thrust values. I know that the latest DLC and/or patch adjusted some thrust values down, especially for jet engines. There are threads about it in the Paradox HoI4 forum.
Dome 2.0 16 Oct, 2023 @ 4:33am
Even with the first jet engines i only have an thrust of 38 which is not enough for some good cas.
Dome 2.0 16 Oct, 2023 @ 4:32am
For me it worked with rt56 but i have the problem that my Airframes have an max thrust.
I dont know if it is from another mod that I have but for example my small airframe (fighters) can only have an max thrust of 38 which is not enough for cas.
Colonel O'Neil  [author] 15 Oct, 2023 @ 11:21pm
I tried making an RT56 compatible version (and I think it works), but RT56 currently has all max air speeds set to '0' zero. I think they may not have updated it for the 1.13 content (even though it says it is) because Paradox changed this part of the game. Speed used to be determined by thrust versus weight, but now all air frames of a certain type and era (basic light air frame) have a set max speed that is increased by a percentage for each engine upgrade type. I think the RT56 team has not adjusted to this new reality yet.

Road to 56 modifies just about every file imaginable, including the ones listed above, so that is probably why there is a conflict. I'd have to make a Road to 56 specific version for it to work.
Cheeseless 15 Oct, 2023 @ 8:43pm
I'm not sure if you're able or willing to fix this, but the mod appears to cause a launch crash with Road to 56.
Dome 2.0 15 Oct, 2023 @ 10:58am
Nah the mod is good balanced. Its just nice that they're usable againe.
Colonel O'Neil  [author] 14 Oct, 2023 @ 5:47am
Ha! Are you saying this mod makes them a bit too overpowered?
Dome 2.0 14 Oct, 2023 @ 3:21am
Thanks for this great Mod. Now I can built my 10k Heavy Fighters. :)
Colonel O'Neil  [author] 13 Oct, 2023 @ 4:12pm
LoL, glad you like the mod.
