Thank you very much!
My new "Morgoth, cyborg lord of the North Pole, king of the cyber-orcs" playthrough needs some "prisoners with jobs" to set up outposts (Vanilla Outposts Expanded) and feed workers into my empire's settlements (Empire mod).
And the Elsen are perfect for this.

@Latex Santa I'll get it fixed sometime this week!

@CRISISCUISINE
Could we get a timeline on a possible 1.6 update, please?

@Tronche à facette RETRO
I second this. RimElsen is a fun little mod I never got to try out.
I'd love to play with it sometime this year.
Tronche à facette RETRO 13 Jul @ 12:29pm
will the mod get updated for 1.6?
Breakleg Bonesnapper 1 Jun, 2024 @ 8:58pm
Cute mod.

@Translenderman
Actually... these bois would be PERFECT for a "captive work force".
Oh yes, they'd be PERFECT for any number of dystopian genetic caste playthroughs.
You see, I've been going about this the wrong way. I need to get with the program.
All those folks having fun with BIOTECH, creating weird and wonderful new xenotypes and strange, caste-based societies with specialized genes?
That's the way to go.
Take these bois, mod in non-violent genes, and make specialized worker xenotypes to make up for the increase in complexity and metabolism.
Specialized crafters don't need to be good at Social, Animals or Plants.
Specialized farmers don't need to be good in Intellectual, Crafting or Medicine.
And so on, and so on.
Need more workers? CLONE THEM.
Some of them died? REPLACE THEM.
So simple, yet so brilliant.

This is the first time that I have heard of the game OFF. All I know is that these dudes look freaky, suitably inhuman. Which means that they are either xenos, or unsanctioned abhumans in the eyes of my 40K Imperial Inquisitor and his retinue, and thus sentenced to death.
Thanks for providing a more target-rich environment for my guys. o7

I haven't played Off since - like what 2010? - so that witty description blurb flew over my head entirely. Neat though.
Choomer 13 Apr, 2024 @ 12:55pm
I am surprised and delighted that there's even a single mod about OFF for rimworld. This is cool, i adore off
CRISISCUISINE  [author] 19 Mar, 2024 @ 11:13am
Updated to 1.5, Sugarskin gene renders correctly now.
CRISISCUISINE  [author] 26 Sep, 2023 @ 5:01pm
@Sagetim thats sorta the idea, yeah! admittedly ive been busy with a new job so not a lot of time to code, but i am retaining all the ideas i have/others suggest, so i can hopefully find a way to implement them
Sagetim 24 Sep, 2023 @ 2:39pm
not familiar with the source, but if they're made of sugar and suceptible to burns, perhaps they Carmelize (spelling?) when burned. So instead of taking burns they get assigned Carmelization wounds, inflict spots of browning color instead of bullet holes/etc and giving them some kind of additional debuff, but also smelling delicious for nearby pawns as long as they have those kinds of burns? Because caramel is delicious after all. Maybe you could pull that kind of effect off of a psychic soothe effect?
CRISISCUISINE  [author] 20 Sep, 2023 @ 2:16pm
@tf2 is a shit game maybe so, but i honestly just think it looks better. the alternative is just a normal, bald white pawn and that’s sorta bland.

@Pokey McFork that’s something i’d like to figure out, yeah! right now i’m trying to hash something together to allow their bodies to produce sugar in some way, so i’ll think about burnt mechanics afterwards.
kinonothin 19 Sep, 2023 @ 10:00pm
i don't think else are supposed to have square heads, that is just the art style
Pokey McFork 19 Sep, 2023 @ 7:03am
Could also add extreme mental breaks transforming them to burnt? There's probably a way to check for that happening.
CRISISCUISINE  [author] 18 Sep, 2023 @ 12:43pm
@Perytoon oh shoot, i’ll get that patched up today. thanks for letting me know, percentages are tricky
Perytoon 18 Sep, 2023 @ 9:24am
Hi ! I just downloaded the mod and I noticed the speed of the frantic trait was off ! instead of being at 110% they are at 10%
Tcgirl8 18 Sep, 2023 @ 8:13am
you can grate a block of cheese on that head
CRISISCUISINE  [author] 18 Sep, 2023 @ 6:56am
@Krazyfan1 : that IS something i'd like to add, but my current knowledge of XML is too limited to implement it! maybe in the future :)

@Lyn the Cookie : another thing too far outside my current capabilities, sadly, but it's a great idea!

also thanks everyone in general for the feedback, this is the culmination of months of screwing around with XML so im gladd to see it well recieved!
ATP-1002 18 Sep, 2023 @ 6:03am
HOLY SHIT! AN OFF ADDON?!
God-motherfucking-daaaaamn
Lyn the Cookie 18 Sep, 2023 @ 5:21am
Now we need biomes for the zones, with colorful metal ground, plastic oceans, meat rivers and smoke mines. Also steel-yielding cows.
evil yaoi wizard 18 Sep, 2023 @ 12:05am
a mod i didn't know I wanted!
Rabbit 17 Sep, 2023 @ 11:17pm

An unexpected but welcome addition to the chaos that is Rimworld. Time for purification.
Krazyfan1 17 Sep, 2023 @ 9:57pm
if you add Cooking expanded, perhaps butchering them could generate Sugar?
Laike 17 Sep, 2023 @ 9:53pm
im surprised nobody has done this yet. I feel like OFF would fit in perfectly with rimworld's potential for chaos
Karkino 17 Sep, 2023 @ 8:44pm
Rimworld RPGmaker Expanded when? and now do mogekos! :coolthulhu:
