@Leonard no, it changes the resources required for installing space station rooms. space stations are in the vanilla game without mods
Leonard 21 Jan @ 2:40am
So basically, this mod gives us the option to have a custom sort of Space Ship on asteroids or planets, or am I missing something? Is this something similar to the Pocket World mod?
Maxolotl 1 Jan @ 8:34am
W mod now I don't have to use tiny task to afk grind asteroids for resources! Yeah and also, Imma NEED that more station rooms mod but I can't find it on the workshop what is le name please :SBHorse:

Also, thank you.

Aha, but you thought you had defeated me? I traveled back in time to post today, thwarting your attempt to call me out next year, all to give me ample time to make a mod that tells the game that every upgrade module is actually 500 titanium, thus reverting your wonderful fix to a terrible system and MORE!
fallengrace 21 Apr, 2024 @ 10:32am
but in all seriousness the cost needed to make one room is the reason i avoid space stations and just build up to the asteroid layer of a planet and build my "station" there

GOD TIER

I find it fantastic, it's a way to give usefulness to the upgrade modules and, at the same time, eliminate that exorbitant cost that requires ore bars to upgrade the station. Getting the upgrade modules isn't easy, but it gives you another reason to farm in the game, to obtain many and upgrade your station.

I wish there was a similar mod for tech cards and manipulator modules. Once you have what you need, those objects lose their utility. I don't know, a machine that turns those objects into useful materials? Copper, silicon boards, etc.

Hey, just dropping an idea (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
Scarf Dragon 22 Nov, 2023 @ 5:58pm
I second that. I especially love the way you worded the second answer.
Silver Sokolova  [author] 8 Nov, 2023 @ 3:44pm
thank you!!
Blu_wolf_ 8 Nov, 2023 @ 1:07pm
I like that Q&A :tobdog:
Silver Sokolova  [author] 23 Oct, 2023 @ 9:06am
You could use the mod to take advantage of the reduced bar costs to get the transponders, uninstall it, then sell the transponders. The price will change depending if you have the mod installed, even if you already have a transponder
Silver Sokolova  [author] 23 Oct, 2023 @ 9:05am
That is true. It changes the price from 150000 to 3250. This mod can be safely un/reinstalled without any issues.
bidiguilo 23 Oct, 2023 @ 8:10am
btw if anyone cares this mod breaks the station transponder pixel farming method (mining a bunch then making station transpoders for selling) so you have to remove this mod before making and selling ur transponders if you want to do that
StockSounds 19 Oct, 2023 @ 7:18pm
All I think when I see the station room costs is "you want me to WHAT to start my purely decorative farm project?" so this mod is nice.
Nephirus90 29 Sep, 2023 @ 3:49am
Nice mod :)
p_trevogin 21 Sep, 2023 @ 4:32pm
@Silver Sokolova There wasn't any entity hitboxes in debug mode. And when I entered the command, nothing happened or changed. There was only a command feedback: "could not find scripted entity at cursor", which basically proved that there wasn't really anything obstructing the station expansion. But then it's unclear what's causing the bug...
Mo 18 Sep, 2023 @ 10:47pm
You already know this going into my collection
AtroxDemon24 18 Sep, 2023 @ 5:23pm
And here i was about to expand my space station, then the first thing i see in the workshop is your mod. Coincidence? No i don't think so :)
Alpha Drako 18 Sep, 2023 @ 3:46pm
You're welcome *-*
Silver Sokolova  [author] 18 Sep, 2023 @ 3:44pm
but yeah, this mod doesnt do anything with entities

also!! @Alpha Drako, thank you!!
Silver Sokolova  [author] 18 Sep, 2023 @ 3:24pm
@p_trevogin type
/admin
/debug
you can now see entity hitboxes
put your cursor over whatever's on the other side of the expansion port and
/entityeval status.setResource("health", 0) mcontroller.setPosition{0,-200}
p_trevogin 18 Sep, 2023 @ 1:07pm
Please excuse me for off-topic, but does anyone have a bug where, when you try expanding your station, it refuses, and instead says "part blocked by entity"? I'd ask this in the Discussions section, but there is already one question like mine. It dates back to 2017 and has zero replies, so I'm not even sure if anyone knows how to fix such a bug.
I'm asking this question here because, while the mod itself is great, it appears virtually pointless when you cannot even expand your stations.
Alpha Drako 17 Sep, 2023 @ 7:39am
Silver, you're an inspiration for other modders u.u, thanks for you the amazing awesome nice stuff you release <3
Dr_Shadox 16 Sep, 2023 @ 12:25pm
@antisocialLeprechaun 2025 isnt that far , we are in 2023 just in case ^^

idk for you but i know i'll still play the game in 2025

:mggaow:
Arden 16 Sep, 2023 @ 6:11am
Thank you for this fantastic mod, massive time saver, especially with the buildable station mod
Zocri 16 Sep, 2023 @ 2:45am
"A: Instead of manually changing each room's cost, I just added code which tells the game to not even look at the cost and instead assume it's an upgrade module." True Genius.
Aria Angela 16 Sep, 2023 @ 1:06am
You're a life saver. Thank you
Ffisher 15 Sep, 2023 @ 2:08am
@silver fair enough. I suppose I glossed over the actual time spent mining all that stuff by using the EMC mod
忆无心(Yiwuxin) 14 Sep, 2023 @ 8:50pm
Good
Emil Siegryn 13 Sep, 2023 @ 3:01pm
So, time traveler... in 2025 has Chucklefish fixed the lag yet? I'm assuming no, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

All jokes aside, this mod is a godsend. You have my thanks.
Chairmen J 13 Sep, 2023 @ 12:39pm
Now i can actually explore building in space without the tears and my wallet weeping! Yippie!~
Silver Sokolova  [author] 13 Sep, 2023 @ 10:51am
@Ffisher easier to say 500 titanium than 225 titanium and 300 gold and 80 silver and 300 copper wire. gets the point that it's super expensive without dragging the narrative down
aux Chord 13 Sep, 2023 @ 6:37am
Silver, a prophet of doom and calamity, envisions a dark, distant future in which we're all still playing Starbound in 2025... Horrifying.

Anyway subscribed.
COVID-19 13 Sep, 2023 @ 5:31am
Haven't really even touched this part of the game yet, but a really good idea, thanks!
Ffisher 13 Sep, 2023 @ 1:58am
What expansion requires 500 Titanium bars? Biggest I can find on the wiki is 225.
󠀡󠀡 13 Sep, 2023 @ 12:08am
Silver stays winning once again
Dr_Shadox 12 Sep, 2023 @ 11:14pm
Cool and clever.
Now take your survival kit and go conquer spaces :SBmm: :espresso:
