The ceiling vent I think I blocked it off because I was afraid of messes getting stuck up there.
The rendering stuff is probably just do to IIRC the splats being inconsistent with BSP geometry, Which is what this map almost entirely uses.
Ragdolls could probably be improved if I just spent more time on them, and also learned more how PHET works (the physics asset editor), but it was just so tedious to use and took so long to make each object and factory for every body I didn't want to bother.
Overall a lot of my maps using custom assets I wish I had put more polish into but the work for custom objects and bodies is so annoying and tedious I can understand why I didn't.
Anyways thanks for taking the time to write this.
For the bigger issues, It's mainly a rendering thing.
Some splats and glass piles for some reason just, stop rendering. This could be for, any reason at all. Some disappear when the player gets too close, some disappear because there is a lantern which is turned on over there far away from it and the light has no interaction at all. Just overall jank stuff. This can make going back over with the sniffer a pain because you are literally hunting for ghosts. It's very awkward just seeing mess pop into existence as i move away, and then as i go back to get it, it pops back out of existence and i have to feel around for it.
- Custom ragdolls feel light, Compare them to the vanilla bodies which are also present in the
map, the vanilla ones jostle around more, and overall feel a bit sloppier to hold. A very nuanced thing, yes, but it can be noticeable.
- Sometimes ragdolls are held too far from you, again another nuanced thing, but it can be noticeable.
- Finally, this is the big one, joint limits. The official models actually take like, body limits into account, the bones have, physical joints, they do not flop around as if they were all broken. You don't see elbows and knees moving the wrong way for instance, this is absent on custom ragdolls in nearly every case.
I can't dock points for this, no map which has custom ragdolls gets it right, probably from limitations or something.
pretty good map overall, i have a bias where i prefer vanilla stuff but this map is pretty cool ngl
The crumpled paper idea I'm not sure there are any default object classes I know of that change model when clicked. Maybe if I find something like that, I can.

I saw you updated it, adding some of the different zed types and the like, really cool stuff.
One suggestion I have (And I don't know much about the editor so I don't know if this would be possible to do this without some heavy scripting), but it would be cool if when you press and hold left click on one of the pieces of paper scattered across the map that it could transform them into one of the crumpled paper models from the base game to make it easier to fill up bins.
But I'm having an issue with all of the zed bodies missing their textures. They just have the white/blue squares texture. Tried verifying files so far, but I'm not sure what else to do.
that would be the bink video codec that plays .bik files
installing free version of RAD tools probly fix the videos
some of the workshop maps use .bik videos

update dot net framework 4.5 and higher
all those fail if already installed=repair em vs that option if it pops up
also check that windows update didn't nerf ya gpu software cuz it deletes mine every patch tuesday n it drives me nuts having to fix that vs every windows update
also if ya got nahamic or sonic audio etc configure that to use ya best sound available driver
some bluetooth sound devices ie headphones can bug out/drop out n crash vcd as vcd cant run without a working audio device

Like I said, my guess is that it's an old game with an old engine under an old DirectX that is not fully supported by Windows 11.
click the workshop icon in main menu
if anything has red text next to it unsub from it
restart the game a few times
say the text is red for this map=ya stuck on the previous map update the mod installer jams if anything has red text next to it unsub from it and if its not older than all the outdated stuff then resub to it n quit n restart game when prompted
now the red text should go to green ready txt in the installed mods list
everything must have green ready txt next to it otherwise ya stuck with old map updates and a stuck/jammed mod installer
thats how ya unjam it if map updates get stuck n go red on ya
esp if reinstalling and nerfing ya saves n reactivating the office still crashes you out
nobody else is crashing
turn steam cloud off forever (cloud causes office crash at punchout bug)
what happens if you backup the saves folder to desktop and delete the trunk save see what happens followed by nerfing all ya saves leaving the trophy save to delete last if that's corrupt
try wiping all the saves and see if that fixes it
if that does nothing replace with backup copy
clear the office with clear office button
go to office pause game and save it
use exit door
load a save of this map if ya got one
try n punchout of this map again
if it doesn't die on ya then thats good
if it crashes then not sure how or why
if that did fix it then replace the trophy save with a backup go to office pause it save it use exit door
then try n punchout
if that fix it=good
if not then whatever is going on its not right considering quite a few of the workshop maps are dying on ya like that
What caused it
SODA FACTORY
SODA FACTORY IS CORRUPT
Unsub from soda factory delete all the games files except ya saves folder n verify the game cache to reinstall game
If want to play soda factory your closest choice is chuck Hurlington's eggnog factory as It took at least 3 months to give soda factory a brain transplant from a corrupt file to a file that is not corrupt n rebuilt it from the ground up
Do not sub to soda factory it borks the game and causes all sorts of weird crashes
Now that soda factory out of ya hair perhaps vcd won't die on ya when ya say exit this map to the main menu

It Bork the Vulcan dlc
Ie using satellite beacons crashes the game etc
Other levels mysteriously crash or malfunction
It took over a month to unbrick soda factory and make chuck Hurlington's eggnog factory

My PC is fine with the majority of the maps. The reason why I crashed recently is because I tweaked the UDKSystemSettings.ini file by setting ApexGRBEnable to True.

Strange, I haven't encountered much issues on my end. I also have never encountered an Office crash at punchout.
