that minute when you believe you just subscribed to two hundred and thirty five overlays. :awkward:

Even though I have the border set up correctly, when I render the overlay doesn't show up.

This is actually a problem I have as well. I could attempt to fix it, but the most immediate fix is to black out the bit in your editing program.

I'll try blacking out the bits that the overlayed missed in Sony Vegas. :tgrin: Better than rendering a 1+ minute long animation again.

I'm not sure then. My monitor is 1920x1080. Maybe mess around with the rendering settings?
Paintbrush Poltergeist 18 Apr, 2016 @ 3:46am
My monitors set to 1080p too.
Tronicate 18 Apr, 2016 @ 3:42am
@Majestic Goose Shrimp, I rendered the project in 1080p with the bars and it works fine with me. Might be a problem on your end. It might depend on what resolution your monitor is or something but I'm not sure.

Tried rendering a project at 1080p, but it appears the bars aren't big enough and there's little gaps at the edge of the screen. Is this a problem on my end, or are the bars just designed for 720p and less? Thanks. <3

@ SamSpielberg Well at least it's a good guidline.
Wilkins Coffee  [author] 13 Feb, 2016 @ 7:57pm
Unfortunately it will render that way. Also unfortunately, I didn't make this, so I don't have a fix for it, or at least, not in SFM.
TBurback 13 Feb, 2016 @ 7:32pm
When I'm using the mask with bars, it looks like there is a thing strip above the bar that doesn't touch the top of the screen. I can't tell if that is just SFM or if it will render like that.
Tronicate 27 Jan, 2016 @ 11:05am
I understand. SFM does take a while to learn but you'll get there. Following Valve tutorials or SourceFilmMaker or Pte Jack on YouTube will help.
Wilkins Coffee  [author] 26 Jan, 2016 @ 6:02pm
Fret not. Have you checked out the Valve Tutorials?
Philip 26 Jan, 2016 @ 5:03pm
No, I'm new to the SFM. Plain words? I couldn't even figure it out. Shame, I had some good ideas. Yet the SFM is too hard.

(MLG) Philip The Pig, check the description, dumbass. It tells you in plain words on how to do it.

In the lower left corner it's glitched or something
Kibōchen 3 Sep, 2014 @ 4:00pm
I thought there were literally 235 letterbox overlays.... I was lied to. There's only 3.
Wilkins Coffee  [author] 27 Aug, 2014 @ 8:12am
@ Lt. Scoutbird,
Sadly, SFM's poster export option doesn't export the overlay effect. Nobody knows why, it just doesn't. The only way I know of to get it to export the overlay is to export the frame you want through the image sequence option in "export> movie."
Cpt. Sourcebird 27 Aug, 2014 @ 4:30am
So.... How do I keep this overlay in terms of exporting posters with awesome overlays?
Chad King 24 Aug, 2014 @ 11:57pm
Nice, I've been looking for something like this. Thanks, man.
raptornx01 14 Aug, 2014 @ 10:41pm
these are nice. also wouldn't mind seeing 1.83 and 4:3 overlays as well.
