But the things that I've found lame or that have made the game not so much fun to play was how strong the Pikemen are, they can swarm the musketeers. This is a minor change idea from me but could you make the Cannons impact like actually EXPLODE instead of just 5 dust particles and a black spot where the cannonball hit.
Also could you respond to my "Square Formation" mod idea, I just wanna know if it's possible for you to make something like that, it would be really cool and actually useful.

as for the mods You can edit the files in data/ script / lib/ unit (for units) and weapon (for weapons) but it's not very intuitive, you have to waste hours on it. The other mod is almost ready. now units placed behind buildings do not take damage but have cover.. as well as behind wooden barricades or walls.. cannot shoot and cannot be hit. Soon I will put it on the workshop. meanwhile you can follow me on youtube and on the "Arena" video I shared the various changes, feel free to comment on the video and let me know if you like it

I agree but I guess thats what walls are for. I suppose you could make normal Cannons stronger and the other cannons will stay as they be. This will encourage people to actually build walls.
Plus I like that you're making a mod about Building taking damage from bullets, I think that's cool and nobody's done that before.
You should make it so that only the 2 front rows fire (to make it more realistic)
and Increase the dmg of the Cannons because it would also.. be realistic if you shot
a building twice or even once and it would engulf in flames.
