@Chickenboy: to make an Ironman version, you need to replace existing portaits sets files, like human and human classic, with yours. You can still edit display names so it's transparent for the user. The common folder must remain empty (as well as events, but it's already the case). On the other hand, you can edit prescipted species so that UNE and COM have their intended portait sets.
I've added a selector that should hopefully fix things back into the right "order", but it might not be perfect, so you may have to re-choose your ruler clothing.
At the very least, it should ensure you are able to select any type of clothing in the ruler designer.
Absolutely happy to see this updated! TY.
I've updated for Stellaris 4.0
I've had to switch out pops for pop_groups in the clothing (asset_selectors)
Unfortunately pop_groups dont tell you what job they have, so I've had to generalise clothing based on stratum rather then job.
I did fix admiral/general clothing for leaders, now correctly switches based on that leaders role.
(Side note: as a modder myself, the poster has my sympathies when it comes to the legions who demand Michelangelo while struggling with finger-painting. You're doing great, keep it up!)
I edited them and they always show up naked rather than commanders having the "police" clothing variant or the clerk set for officials
Let me know if you have any issues
Also thanks for the feedback, I do have some ideas for new clothing sets and updating the two current ones. But no promises on timings as I'm pretty busy atm.
- Some clothing is to small for male/female bodies
If you solve these, your mod is perfect! Its the best variant existing on the workshop for UNE and you did a wonderful work. Its what a ”modern” game of 2024 should have for its leading species. Meantime, the new portraits brought this month by Paradox are uglier than kids drawings: involution of art.
As for CoM, I would go another route, as these nice clothes are too fancy for them. And as I cant accept the lazy design of ”they are the same humans and both factions are wearing the same clothes... after 100 years”. Only Fallout 4 ”city clothes resisted for 200 years” is worst.
But, if you wanna play around, you can give us a new set, to make them distinct. After all, there is a gap of contact of 100 years, along with a mentality switch. Things that are usually reflected in the way the humans/aliens/creatures express themselves.
Now, you can add potraits more easy What is new is that the Portraits are now arranged into UI by CATEGORIES instead of ”Species” and into these Categories you add SETS of portraits. This way, when they come with new potraits for humanoids, for example, they just make a new set. Like they did with the cybernetics, which have their own Categories, but are shown into their Species Categories also.
