Beautiful mod

I cant get through the menu screen either :(

I can't get through the menu screen. I click on new game and nothing happens

This mod can be fixed, it requires some minor script editing to every map though.

In the map scripts (.hps files), you have to find functions that take strings and add &in to the argument signature. ie:
void ExampleTimer(string asTimer)
needs to be changed to
void ExampleTimer(string &in asTimer)

What happens in 1.5 is the game can't find those methods because it's expecting the signature to contain &in so the code never runs and the map softlocks. Silly issue because in other versions this syntax is optional, no idea why this change was made in 1.5.

Also it seems like every file is duplicated in the Part 2 folder? The game isn't even loading the files from there as the script changes have to be made to the main Maps folder to work.

If the person who uploaded this (and the other reuploads) would like some help fixing up the mods just add me on Steam or contact me in the FG Discord.

Note : The Amnesia_NoSteam_20200514_FT.exe hint allows you to also play the now broken It's Hurting my Eyes 1 & 2 Custom Stories (provided you manually install them in your Custom Story Folder) !

Previously mentioned method does work. If you don't want to install Forbidden Trip via steam, you can also download that from moddb (it'll be several gigabytes), copy the needed "Amnesia_NoSteam_20230211_FT" from it to the same location as the current Amnesia TDD executable, then delete the rest of the Forbidden Trip files (unless you want to play it, of course).

After that, download Small Horse II from moddb, put in the custom story folder in Amnesia's steam directory, and run the copied EXE. You should see the custom story in the custom story menu (which reads from your local folder and not workshop).

I was able to play it to completion this way (with one crash to desktop at the end of the desert section, but the mod is aware of this and autosaves so you can click Continue and resume play in the next area just fine).

for some reason, if you download Forbidden Trip | 禁断の旅 from the steam store it'll install a version of amnesia in your local files (for amnesia the dark descent ofc) named Amnesia_NoSteam_20200514_FT.exe.

if you run a version of this mod from moddb (manually downloading it and placing the file into your custom_stories folder) it'll work on that "Amnesia_NoSteam_20200514_FT" version.

My favorite "crazy Amnesia CS" saga. They are not just fun, they also have an incredible nostalgia vibe with all the Nintendo stuff and all. Not to mention this is a technical feat of strength. A must play when you want to have a good (and quite what the fuck) moment.

Just found out that if you download this mod from moddb into the custom stories folder then use

"amnesia_noSteam_20200514_ft", you can play it normally :) Hope this helps

The Total Conversion Support update ended up breaking a lot more for this custom story than I thought. The entire story is unplayable, even with debug mode to skip through maps. I do not have the technical knowhow to fix each and every issue. You're better off somehow downgrading your copy of Amnesia to get the custom story working.

To me it was always a pain in the ass to find it around youtube and then download the files and then install em. Hope this simple button press works better

Game crashes when I enter the loading screen after I've clicked on the Tardis in the underwater castle area later in the custom story. And after I load in on the latest save file which is right before I clicked on the Tardis, nothing happens when I click on the Tardis. So I'm stuck and can't get further in the custom story

Thank you for reuploading a old custom story! I seen this before on Youtube but never played it myself
It's been so long ago so I will forgot all about the stories again haha!

Yeah this is the latest version, the custom story name is just using the old name. I found my old .rar file and it was named "The_Small_Horse_Full_Version .rar" Just a title mistake, since workshop grabbed the title from the .cfg.

@Litronom I downloaded the latest one I could find whenever it was released, even your wix site shows D.5 being the latest. It has the final boss battle and everything

You could update it to use the complete version, as this one ends at D.5

this was the first thing amnesia related i found back in the day back when youtube lets plays were in there infancy. hopefully the release of into the bunker will bring more ppl to the community and we can get more custom story's

I think the original mod was banned due to I think asset ripping/stealing..? I am not 100% sure but it was something along those lines. @Edge Lord
