There is no need to bitch about the "soul" of TF2
There should be options to this such as limiting to 1-2 cosmetics, only disabling unusual effects, only disabling paints, etc, for people who care about TF2's art style
I'm for playing the game whichever way you want. If you don't like these hats, use the mods. It makes no sense for valve to allow its customers to disable the goods most of them purchase. That's like csgo giving you an option to disable knives.
Valve's never adding this though because it contradicts the entire point of people buying cosmetics. To show them off.

Imagine literally wanting to remove the soul of team fortress 2. Please kindly go play Valorant or CS:GO if you want to play a point and click adventure game and not a three dimensional fighting game like tf2
