It does motivate the non-approaching player to actually go in and do their stuff but it kind of feels like it supports a rush-down style gameplan a bit more then hindering it tbh
I think Omega is in the best state he's been so far, albeit still very strong due to a huge emphasis on midrange harassment via charge projectiles + Buster
abeit even more true for a character that force to approach you on sadness like Omeag
Of which, Omega is honestly not that bad of a character balance wise. Hell, Inkless has patched and tweaked him several times in the last couple months and he has to be, currently, at his best balance wise imo. More importantly, a lot of Inklessbrush's old comments on how to fight against Omega still holds true, which can be summed up in a single sentence: JUST BAIT OUT HIS AGGRESSION.
We have come to the general consensus that, aside from a few small things, they are fine. And the things that might not be you entirely ignore to complain about mid-tier tools like crush. Its outrageous and speaks volumes to how little about the game you actually know.
or the times when you are against the wall and now it covers both rolls
(or the times when di up just doesen't even work for some reason, wich doesen't realy matter , becouse one move both being good oki and hiting otg shouldn't be considered ok in the first place)
- Plus on block disminished by the distance after the move is done.
- Only hit roll backward.
- The "cheap damage" in question is 1150, Cowboy Hslash does 1000, Ninja Sweep does 1200, and those can combo.
- im not sayng its good in long range, but its literaly your best close range option
- its a stance, that you enter via swich out of almost anyithing (including dash)
just noticed, for some reason you pass trough them while shooting, wich means, that if you have forward momentum it starts combos even without a traid (sometimes you cant even be hit or grabed while doing so
The buster shot projectile itself does no hitstun and barely any damage, it's the explosion that actually does anything- which is easily avoided because of how slowly the projectile travels. Literally just move a little so you don't get hit. It's not rocket science.
Trading is a little weird but it's a stance so it's something you can easily watch out and account for.
"Vanilla level"
(also keep in mind , that these characters was around current vanilla level when they released, and i don't remember them geting any nerfs )
most of vanilla are strong becouse of how many simple tricks and techniques they have and how explored they are, but Lams characters are either just strong and linear or even stronger and convoluted
specificly omega is first type, but also has a problem of wantimg to run away and charge his gimmic
- Universal pushback on block reduced by 5%
- Some moves like Crush and Sweep do not have this modifier
- Buster (EX) travels faster
- Buster hitstun reduced (14 > 9)
- Buster SDI modifier increased
- Damage from Raku projectiles reduced from 45 to 25
- Multihit damage on Heavy projectile reduced from 15 to 9
- Multihit min damage on Heavy projectile reduced from 15 to 7
- Spin's Buster cancel frame increased by 1 frame (to allow for knockback)
fixes:
- Zero skin no longer needs a space next to ZERO in style
- Zero voicelines added to ZERO skin
- Cutin for Omega changed
- Added a codex (needs trimays character codex)
qol:
- Overdrive time now displays when Omega has overdrive
balance:
- Break is now +0 on block
- Spin is now +0 on block
- Split is now usable in the air (uses an air option)
- Raku projectiles vel cut on hit reduced from 5 to 3
- Raku projectiles can no longer hit OTG
- The base can still hit OTG
- Rekka and Rekka projectiles can still hit OTG
- Descend is now 0 prt instead of -1 prt
do i need to unsubscribe then re subscribe or something to be sure? or should that just automatically happen?
You absolutely cooked with these changes, to the point I actually got back into Yomi Hustle thanks to this.
