Really great call! I'll look into changing that soon - though, admittedly it might look a bit strange seeing that familiar text changed after so many hours, lol

I have an inaccuracy to suggest which I have seen trip up multiple new players. When you go to look at a wand in a shop, it says "Press [E] to purchase 'Wand'". This makes them not realize that pressing E does not actually spend the money, and that they can examine the wand's spells and compare its stats gratis without committing to the purchase. This is an important distinction, especially in the early game when money is tight!

Hah, good call, I'll consider including that in a future version

If we really want to be less inaccurate, i have a suggestion about:

actiondesc_destruction "Instantly decimates foes around you, at the cost of 10% of your current HP"

now I realise this is a nitpick, and that the vanilla game has the same issue, but "decimate" is probably a bad word to use here because it can mean different things to different people. (specifically, to nitpickers it means "reduce by one tenth")

It is probably better to say "destroys foes" instead of "decimates foes".

Weirdly enough, it would be technically correct (but still bad) to say "at the cost of decimating your current HP" 🙃

Thank you for the kind words!

I see that many people the in comments say bad things about this mod, so I will say things straight: Noita can be cryptic on purpose, if that's what developers intended. And, unsurprisingly, game stays like that! Nobody does anything to the vanilla version! It's a mod! iIf you don't like it or don't want it, just don't use it!
Not everyone likes when every single note in the world cannot be trusted, aside from main menu (probably), and just blindly checking things or bumping into them is more efficient than deciphering all these... crypticness. As Calamari said earlier. there are things that are cryptic without any particular purpose, just because.

Thanks for the mod, Graham!
GrahamBurger  [author] 8 Nov, 2023 @ 8:46pm
No? It's entirely a cosmetic mod
Iven?! 8 Nov, 2023 @ 8:40pm
does this make alchemy with gunpowder impossible?
GrahamBurger  [author] 31 Jul, 2023 @ 12:12pm
Good idea! soil_lush_dark unfortunately uses the same UI name, so I can't really change both of them without fancy stuff
wondible 31 Jul, 2023 @ 8:03am
Suggestion: distinguish soil and soil_lush

too many of yall are hating on graham, if yall dont like the mod then just dont use it or give the mod a thumbs down. no need to get rude about it
GenEric1110 27 Jul, 2023 @ 12:50pm
this is literally the best thing to see now that im coming back to the game

thank you
HolohoaxAppreciator 26 Jul, 2023 @ 6:25pm
This mod should just be part of the base game, there's cryptic for the sake of style and cryptic for cryptic sake (hurr)
GrahamBurger  [author] 25 Jul, 2023 @ 2:04am
I'm not, like, changing quest hints to make them easier or something here. I feel like the "cryptic on purpose" part of Noita shouldn't extend to the in-game description of status effects, spells, and perks. When it does, it usually seems to be an accident on the devs' part. In the Noita discord, there have been tons of people who didn't know about Gas Blood's toxic immunity, or Mana to Damage's outdated description... this is sorta just a shortcut so that I don't have to explain these things to more people, lol, if that makes sense. Thank you for commenting, though! I appreciate the feedback.
Eris 24 Jul, 2023 @ 12:21pm
I think this is an interesting mod, but Noita is cryptic on purpose, and calling some of these inaccuracies is a bit... inaccurate. Though the kills to mana change I'm totally behind, as well as mentioning toxic immunity and fire immunity.
GrahamBurger  [author] 3 Jul, 2023 @ 5:40pm
I get that. But evidently there's a demand for it, and "just" going to the wiki every time you want to know what something does can get annoying at times.
Plus, sometimes the game just... is wrong about things. I'm trying to do my part to reduce misconceptions.
Hecker 3 Jul, 2023 @ 5:35pm
No disrespect but these "inaccuracy" you called is just the style of this game. If you want accurate description you just go to the wiki and look it up.
GrahamBurger  [author] 21 Jun, 2023 @ 6:41pm
hmm... maybe
NyxWhiteFang 21 Jun, 2023 @ 6:26pm
how about, for the Peace with Gods description, something like "The gods won't be angered anymore, and their soldiers are friendly"? seems short enough to me and still understandable
Ocwoud 19 Jun, 2023 @ 6:18am
I want more inaccuracies.
GrahamBurger  [author] 13 Jun, 2023 @ 11:35am
true. that's not really the type of thing I can put in the perk description while keeping it a reasonable length though
ardakiter1243 13 Jun, 2023 @ 9:26am
also the peace with the gods perk makes all stevari and skoude have the charm effect. (thus making them allies)
anarcher 7 Jun, 2023 @ 11:07pm
And unsurprisingly the active kind doesn't alchemize well.
GrahamBurger  [author] 7 Jun, 2023 @ 12:31pm
Yep. There's weak gunpowder from Gunpowder Trail, popcorn-like gunpowder often found in Coal Pits, a different variety found usually in the Mines or Temple of the Art, and "active" gunpowder that explodes instantly, like those found in potions.
KyukaCola Cherry 7 Jun, 2023 @ 12:29pm
...There is four different types of gunpowder?!
Pepsat 28 May, 2023 @ 8:54pm
I didn't know you made this mod gram!
