There is a bug where the "artillery_foundry" building disappears.
I'm guessing it's a bug caused by a typo with "building_group = bg_artillery_foundaries" from "common / buildings / 01_industry".
Please fix it quickly.

bg_artillery_foundaries → bg_artillery_foundries

hey there - great mod. if i want to stop the ai from making NEW buildings and expand currently made buildings: should the option show "revert" if new buildings are blocked? I toggled that option on start of a new campaign, however I am still seeing new buildings being made. As well as when I re-toggle the option. I am trying to grow specific industries in specific resource-having states and I find myself having to go through the registry and nationalize then destroy every couple months. What am I doing wrong. Thank you in advance.

Updated for 1.9 and added support for PORTS & TRADE CENTERS. Not too sure though how this mod fits the game at this stage. My original aim was to made the autonomous investment pool work as smoothly as possible. Still after a year I don't think there's a way to put constraints on how AI does foreign investment (enlighten me if you know a way). But I reckon it's at least helpful to pinpoint specific buildings to build privately.

Would it be possible to add a "nationalize all buildings from x nation" button? At the moment you have to do it manually and it's a huge pain as you end up nationalizing your own industry too.

Hello. i'm a gamer who uses the mods you create really well. after receiving the patch in 1.7.5 it didn't work properly, so i'll leave a comment. i don't know if it's just error on my computer. the error is "Only buildings that have already been constructed will be auto-built" does not work properly. without this mod, i won't be able to play victoria 3. plz help me

Seems like private investment in other countries does not obey your settings but the setting that your subject has set, if you change active player to that subject and use the tool it does prevent infinite banana plantations, but you need to change seats for it

Aside from the new foreign investment power plant spamming nuisance, it still works like a charm. THX!

Though I did have to make my own compatch to make it compatible with better auto-expand. It'd be great if you consider adding that in for other players who don't want to bother.

@GreekWarrior850 Of course private constructions still take place. Those options doesn't prevent industries from being built. Also, foreign investments are unaffected by this mod.

The OGAS mod is not an alternative. You cant controle what the investment pool is building and thats what you are focussing on.

Updated and hopefully with few bugs. However, I could not find a way to affect AI's decision on foreign investment in 1.7. It seems to only associate with the target state scope. So it messes with local investments of the target country. Let me know if you have a workaround in mind.

Also, someone told me that the OGAS mod https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3092955121 is a good substitute of this mod. I haven't the time to check how that one works, but if it's true, I will probably halt future updates of this mod. Your opinions are welcome.

How do you get this to prevent power plants from being built en masse? I click the button for power plants in the journal entry but the investment pool just starts building them like crazy.

Thank you for the reply. Then propobly Industry expanded or other mod messed up with your wonderfull mod. I used reset and close, then clicked ONCE on every option so investment pool would only build where i have at least one lvl of building and as im writing this Aristocrats of my country decided to build new banana plantatnion in a place where there was none ( freshly colonized part of Ivory Coast with no buildings there).

1. You start with the vanilla way of building. You toggle the option once, you enable the mod; toggle twice would reset it to default.
2. Options won’t interact with one another. If you have ‘existing building only’ on, no buildings will be built from scratch.

Hello, i have a problem with understanding the options, wich one allows ai to build something and wich dosent and how they work together. Could explain if i see Toggle private construction of art academies off, does that mean AI can build them for now and when i press the button it will stop building them? Could you change the description of button to state what AI can do at the moment and not after pressing button? Emphasis on actual state and not on the action of toggling is more clear for me as im not a native english speaker. Also i dont know if its a problem of my lack od understanding how option to stop ai bulding things that dont have at least 1 lvl in a state interacts with other options, cos in many tests ai build first lvl of furniture or other industries in a state that didi not have any of them, as i saw it i changed the last option ad ai after some time still build new industry in a state/ It could be a problem on my side as i use other mods like IEX

Absolutely god tier mod, fixed my mild OCD by only allowing private construction to expand buildings, never build new ones. This way I can still utilize MAPIs properly with factory placements without the Ai screwing it up.

I will never play this game again without having this mod enabled.
