@Freezer do you know why the soviet starting spirits and focus icons dissappear? I had it isolated some time ago to this mod. same applies to the US great depression spirit, which also dissappears when running this mod.

@Freezer I love the mod and used it with Vanilla navy rework, but ended up one shotting everything, probably because of 4 dive bomb modules. Does the AI use the mod as well? Was i just too far ahead in tech with the Zero focus? Oh and did you consider giving AP bombs port strike? Its kinda dumb that they dont have it in the basegame

@Freezer, do you know why Transports wont upgrade when you unlock the next tier? I have them set to only use current designs but they arent upgrading to them

@skoed, you can open the mod folder thorugh the launcher, idk abou tthe version issue. Probably best to just resubscribe and leave it be if you arent sure of what you're doing

i don't know what's wrong, but when i downloaded this mod and run it, the air research tree page doesn't look like picture 14, but rather like 1.14 version of the game

i did delete the history but now the paradox launcher says its for 1.14.*

Very cool mod and a staple for me, i wanted to ask if you ever thought about giving AP bombs a better Port strike value? They were historically very good at it and are completely unable to ingame, id love for my cvs to actually be able to port strike pearl harbor style

Why does this mod seem to cause minor compatibility issues with so many others, particularly those focused on nation overhaul? Why does it modify nation files, and are there any recommendations to resolve it?

having just tried it out it seems like it's the Naval Rework for Kaiserreich that's the weaklink, I'll drop it for now and wait for some updates.

Can you please add the save design buttons to your mod? They seem to be hidden beneath the new module slot where you choose between light/heavy construction of airplane frames. Could just move those buttons up above the new module window.

That's good to know. I have actually found the root cause. It is the medium nav bomber you added which is missing in my files. I can add it to mine as well, so that there will be a two-way safety lock, and it fortunately won't affect my mod even when it's running alone.

or maybe there is the solution to make a combined mod with both in the same mod to help with compatibility but that may be very hard and time consuming, anyways, I do not intend to give you more work and keep up the efforts

Yup, unfortunately seems like this is broken for me as well, on a solid system. Both mods work alone (or with the Toolpack mod), but they'll crash once you load a game or scenario. I know you two don't design your mods for each other, but they've synergized really well for so long, and added so much that they became standard mods for me. Kinda stinks right now. :\

or maybe it's the format (how the planes are tagged / handeled) of the carrier planes that differs in your mod and/or in VNR so maybe you and/or MrPunk could try to put some checks in your mod and/or VNR to see if the mods are with each other to adapt the formatting of the carrier planes but again I have no idea what I am saying

if i may, mrpunk's solution dosen't work for me, I have tried with only the two mods and it crashes when I try to start a new game, my pc is kinda bad so it may be that but I send this just so you could be aware of it, anyways, thanks for the effort and keep up the good work!

Hi, it seems like you don't need to change anything. I just put air designer rework on top of navy rework in my playset, and change the loading order to customized instead of alphabetic order, and it works.
btw, you can still add "default_carrier_composition_weight = 1" to cv cas archetype if you want to, it helps AIs put cas on their carriers

I know, if yours is loaded first, then mine will overwrite yours, it might cause crash because you might have changed airframes and I revert them back to vanilla.
but yeah, it seems people can just change loading order in launcher, that will solve the problem anyway

dependencies is a keyword used in descriptor.mod, to force loading the mod after another so that your files overwrite mine with identical names, otherwise it's loaded in alphabetical order.
I'm not very sure whether you can manually change loading order in the launcher, if yes, then there is no need to change it

Hi, I'm the author of Vanilla Navy Rework.
I have received some feedbacks from my subscribers that my latest update has caused ctd with your great mod.
I'm wondering if you could make some changes to your files? I have reviewed the code, it shouldn't be a hard one.
Basically, I have touched x_plane_airframe.txt in equipment, just with an extra line "default_carrier_composition_weight = 1" in cv cas archetype. together with a dependency of vnr in your descriptor.mod should solve the problem.
I'll be very grateful if you would lend a helping hand.

paradrop operations dont work anymore bc this mod messes with the transport planes logic
