okay so i dont know which mod caused the error, but i disabled all mods except yours and the temporal tear opener spawned correctly. thank you for letting me know it wasnt yours, this is the only mod i use that i cant live without!!

the template is marked as "guarantee" so it should always spawn.
I generated a test cluster with all 3 variants (starter tundra, warp tundra, regular tundra), all 3 had the tear opener.

do you have any mod that overrides the tundra moonlet or adds a modified variant of it without a tear opener?

Guess who just got 'One-Drived' - it me; the benefit of reading the comments. I was sure I'd disabled it, but then I got an endless restart cycle and checked my app list, now its gone and things work

Not sure why, but suddenly when I want to start on a random asteroid using this mod the game crashes as soon as I select random starting asteroid. This and the prerequisite mod are the only mods I have installed

its actually a windows 11 settings issue that messes with the game, after that, even on massive asteroids i have absolutely no issues and it runs smooth as possible, obv goes down in the 40-50fps on very populated big worlds,. but thats expected, but at least theres no weird warping/hiccuping when moving

Would it be possible to set which pois spawn on each planet?
Like forcing a specific gravitas building or cool steam geyser cave to spawn?

Also could size of biomes be edited?

could be i guess, not much we can do there anyway, im already at the higher end of the spectrum there and the game still struggles so.. yeah, maybe ONI2 will improve on that

the game is single threaded in a few critical locations, those other unused cores cannot there

so just game limit then, engine cant handle it, since my cpu is barely at 8%. i found a decent size tho, around 400ish where its running solidly at 240fps and no hangs in physics-engine

hardware/game limitation.
the larger an asteroid the more pathfinding & rendering calculations the game has to do.
even strong systems will struggle at a certain size.

I once made a 960*1520 map for testing, that runs at 8fps in cycle 1 at normal speed

is there a way to fix the slight hiccuping when scrolling through the map? I use a large size, but not too big (425*425) and its a bit sluggish when moving around, like.. slowing down a bit every second, i have a very strong PC so its def not a hardware issue, game limitation? is there a work around?

OneDrive just happened to have become the most likely suspect due to coming preenabled on win11

Its an issue in the game's own mod updating code, OneDrive significantly increases its chances to appear.

In non-onedrive cases its usually sufficient to skip the restart message with esc, wait in the main menu for like 30seconds and then restart manually

I use mod updater. Don't use one drive.
Not sure what was the issue, but today when I loaded the game and tried to enable this mod it works. (fixed by itself)

you have a severe case of OneDrive fucking up your mod folder permissions, preventing the game from writing mod files.
Remove onedrive from your documents folder and follow the klei troubleshooting guide to restore proper file writing permissions

geyser overrides are only available for fully random geysers, found on geoactive and classic worlds.

Kenasis, you dont want to play such a big map, trust me. It gets tedious, and you will need your whole life to reach the bottom of the map. I use this mod and its great but when i change the size of the asteroid i dont go beyond one or two extra size options. Its too much.

Awesome mod! I think the random asteroid feature has a ton of potential. Would be amazing if we could blacklist asteroids in each category (start, warp, rocket, outer) and prevent duplicates.

the limits of the generation are set in a way that maintains a playable game performance.
if you want to exceed that, you can edit the worldgen files directly (not taking any responsebility for low game performance)

Because something is corrupting the games ability to update mods, leaving the mod folder empty and the game to auto disable the mod.

That issue is either caused by OneDrive blocking the game from writing mod files or ony mod managers broken update timeout leaving your mods in an empty state.

If you have that mod, consider removing it and replace it with mod updater, if you are on OneDrive, follow the klei troubleshooting guide [support.klei.com] to disable OneDrive for your documents folder and clean its broken permissions

Does anyone know why this mod consistently disables itself any time it gets updated? It's only this mod that it has been happening with, and it has happened for all of the most recent updates.

Not a big deal, just a pain because I don't realize it happened until I get the alert after loading into a save (the mod changes alert once you load in). So I have to exit to menu, re-enable, re-start the game, re-load the save. Minor pain in the toofus.

this mod only tweaks the settings of the existing asteroids.
however; inside the game folder you can find several "empty" starts (intended for dev purposes) that are usually deactivated.

you can enable them by going to the cluster files
(OxygenNotIncluded_Data\StreamingAssets\dlc\expansion1\worldgen\clusters for spaced out and
OxygenNotIncluded_Data\StreamingAssets\worldgen\clusters for base game) and delete the line "skip: EditorOnly" inside of those files.

once you have done that, they show up in the cluster selection

there is one called "TinyEmptyCluster", that should generate an empty world

Hey, first of all thanks for the mod. I'm a newbie and I wanted to know if there is a way to configure a totally blank/empty but stable/functional Asteroid ? I've been looking around on the internet but can't find anything usefull on the subject. Would this mod allow me to do that ? My main goal to play around in Sandbox Mode.

if you dont set the checkbox for "blacklist affects all geysers", the blacklist will only affect fully random geysers found on classic sized asteroids.
the default state of that will be changed next update

Is this still working? I tried to use it of the geyser/vent thing only. It only ever gave me the ones I put on the blacklist. I never get the ones that I actually want to appear.
