This mod will work with the Sphinx (Egypt's regular UI) will still appear when playing Egypt unless they could get Walk Like an Egyptian achievement.

Also while this looks cool, Egyprians had way more temples that were NOT burial grounds, maybe a tomb instead of obelisk would be better and temple (but Egyptian) at level 2?

Is it possible to have this without removing the Sphinx? I know you turned it into a wonder but I like the original where you an put many sphinxes on the map. So is it possible to have both, I don't care about balance since I play with mods that add units to some civilization but not all.

Second Part I loved: Was that the Unique Worship building was flexible to your own chosen worship yields or that of someone who started converting your cities.

Actually I loved all of it from your old mod. The yields to Oasis was my favorite, and sharing that between Egypt and Nubia. Please bring that back here. What if you limited it to Oasis and Desert Floodplains (not Marshes), +1 Food/Faith if you have a Obelisk, +2 Gold/+1 Culture if you have a Naos, (plus their normal Shrine n Temple benefits. Then you can clone a Worship building (maybe even leave it in the pool OF Worship Buildings to choose from after taking it,) & add the +1 Engineer Pt after researching Apprenticeship (in addition to the +1 Prophet Pt, which is basically just +1 Faith) and whatever you want for unique production. (Could be production = faith you double from your cloned worship buildings. Whatever.)

So this District isn't for Nubia too? That was something I loved about Amun-Ra was it was something tied between to civ's and not a the same civ with different leader traits.

If I were you, I would add that back for Nubia and then remove the Pyramid like you did the Sphinx, the Nubia Pyramid (besides a nice beginning food tile) is like an awkward and bad ley line. It contradicts the play style that, you should be placing districts adj to each other for yields, not trying to get them on these Pyramid tiles, it's like an inverted Government Plaza. LOL

*But with the Pyramid removal, you'd have to tweak Amanitore a bit. Or just add the Nubian Pyramid to her Leader Ability, like how some leaders get a second unique unit because of their ability tied to them, and then you could make a more thoughtful Nubian Pyramid for her and how the game works today.

Hey there! Thanks for the mod. I used to adore the Precinct of Amun-Ra mod, because I loved the fact that districts reflect the culture building them. Do you have any plans of revisiting the Satrapies mod as well? Persia is one civ that could actually use a buff (just like Egypt) :steamhappy:

This mod is amazing! Totally love it and it makes Egypt my favorite civ now. Is there any possibility you can do anything about the tier 3 worship buildings being useless? I understand it would probably be a modding nightmare to do so.

@Oddgasm - You need to found a Religion first (or have someone else's Religion in the city) before you can buy religious units.

@Fullmetal36 - I cannot replicate that bug. Mahabodhi Temple works fine for me. I'll try to use both of those mods and see if I can replicate it that way.

@p0kiehl I'm assuming it's not intentional, but I'm unable to build Mahabodhi Temple because the new building doesn't count as a temple. I am using Wondrous Wonders and JNR's urban complexity for faith buildings.

And I agree with Sukritact, the Sphinx is badly implemented. The culture and faith from it are too late to help nab a pantheon, the tiles it needs to give a relevant bonus later on are too valuable for food/districts/wonders (especially with Egypt's other uniques), and the appeal boost isn't enough to rescue it given Ptolemaic Cleopatra's UA and/or the existance of City Parks.

I love the idea of this. As a replacement for the Sphinx, I'm totally sold. You're trading a small bit of flexibility from the T3 building for a fixed production bonus, which Egypt needs, and a LOT of flexibility in placing the district. Even if you're not going for a religious victory, being able to use the faith this generates as an extra currency is WONDERFUL.

That's weird but I can't get it to work properly. I can build the district and its buildings, but I can't possibly buy anything faith-related in it (missionaries, apostles, guru etc)

For Sukritact's Egypt rework, this would just be added as another unique. So you'd get the Ma'at and the Necropolis together.

As jermapilled asked below, how exactly does this interact with Sukritact's Egypt Rework? Is this just used in addition to the Ma'at or instead of it? Can it still get a bonus from other civilization Holy Sites?

I actually remember the Precinct of Amun-ra and its "companion" the Satrap court. I always kinda wished more of those multi-civ special districts had been published because they were such a cool concept.

When finishing your Religion, you have to select a Worship Building eventually, but it won't do anything if you have the Necropolis district.

@the-twist Not really. The main thing is the resource yields - just don't remove resources? Most of them will be Luxuries anyway. The Appeal doesn't apply to Floodplains themselves, it applies to the tiles surrounding them.

At any rate, this district is no more in discordance with Ptolemaic Cleopatra than the Egyptian ability itself.

The entire point of Egypt's ability is to build things on Rivers...so this district actually has great synergy.

It feels like you're going to have a lot of stuff competing for your river space as Egypt with this. In that case, it also means that Ptolemaic Cleao's +1 Appeal from Floodplains isn't that useful anymore.

@TheWoodsman - Not possible. The assets aren't really editable and must stay together.

What problem do you have with the Obelisk and Royal Tomb anyway? They are literally no different than the Shrine and Temple except for aesthetics (for balance reason). Plus, the Necropolis tile base with the regular Shrine and Temple would look quite stupid.
