this is what Pyro head replacements should be and not anything that is random or cute.

It's crazy how many armchair artists believe the art direction of this game is a static entity. It blows my mind every time I read comments and I see people hold onto meaningless standards that don't even reflect the state of the game at any given point in time.
And no, I don't care if people paint their items x y z color. Why should anyone? If i personally thought australiums looked like garbage, because they are gaudy, would you be okay with me advocating for their removal?
should i have the option to go completely against every notion of the game's art style to the point where i stick out like a mangled thumb simply because i feel i dont have enough neon colours on me?
if so, then why does any rule about cosmetics even matter? why dont we make a cosmetic that's just jerma's face stretched horizontally in photoshop that replaces the demoman's grenades?
if a paint region makes a cosmetic look piss ugly then that paint region shouldnt be on the cosmetic.
Why should I need to install a mod just to maintain the artstyle of the game, and counteract the active decisions of another player who decides to violate that artstyle, rather than the other player changing the textures so that only THEY can see Pyro's entire head as lime green? It's the same as when people replace other textures or models with things they like, things that don't fit the style of the game. Rather than adding it into the game officially and forcing every other player to look at the thing they like, they just use a mod that lets only them see it.
If this is really such a big issue that you feel like it's worth making a mountain out of this molehill, there's a way to mod the game that disables paint regions [tf2maps.net] that you can use to fix that.
Everyone likes to customise their appearance in this game for different reasons and that's totally fine, but removing a rather key feature from that customisation process, just because you don't like how there's some people that like the more abrasive colours, is just such a petty reason behind this very one-sided complaint.
