Hello there, thanks for using the mod!

What you're looking to do would best be done through your own XML patches. However, it is possible to do it by going into the options for each race that uses those glove items and un-restricting only them.

If those glove items are restricted through any means other than HAR, then UARR will be of no help, I'm afraid.

Even with the XML extension installed, there is no per-item settings screen; only a configuration screen for managing them in bulk by race.

I only want to remove the restrictions for gloves and shoes that come from other apparel mods. How can I do

Hello! You might be able to do what you're looking to by using the XML Extensions options to prevent kiiro items from being unrestricted. Have you tried that?

Any way to have a optional for vanilla paws so we can restrict certain rance mod clothings for the same? In my case normal faction paws are using kiiro race clothing and giving me errors when the same spawn in caravans or other events.

Very true! I actually just updated the About.xml, so UARR would have worked in 1.6 even with no changes, but this way you won't get any version warnings.

Looks like I never replied, but I appreciate that! You could see if THIGAPPE supports any of the races you're having trouble with as far as the misalignment goes.

Hey, it's good to hear from you again! This happens when a race without a body part covered by a piece of apparel tries to wear it. Basically, the part isn't covered (since it doesn't exist), so the flag to replace existing worn items never triggers.

You could use UARR's XML Extensions settings to prevent the mincho from receiving exemptions. Alternatively, you could set up their outfit policies in-game to prevent them from wearing non-mincho items.
hey wrelick. i found a bug , where HAR race called mintchoco keep stacking clothing infinitely. it emptied my entire storage armory lol.

I use with this mod to make HAR races can wear each others clothes with out the purple error texture (texture may still misalign though)

Ah, I believe I understand what you mean. You'd like that specific item to remain restricted to the race it was made for, right? In that case, there isn't much to be done for humans in particular - that item simply has no textures for the vanilla BodyTypes which humans use.

While this is moreso a product of a misconfiguration on the mod author's part, you could use this mod's XML Extensions settings to exclusively set that item to remain restricted to its respective race.

Sorry for the bother, the thing is that in my game nps keep wearing a specific alien race apparrel and get the missing textures purple squares, i know baseliners have a different format than modded races but it would be great if it worked with baseliners too

Hello! It wouldn't be too difficult to write a patch like that. You'd first ensure that the apparelList node exists for every race loaded. Then you'd just add add the defNames of the belts you'd like unrestricted to those races.

I wonder if theres a way to unrestrict "certain apparels" instead, like allowing any race to use belts? I like some of the stuff by eccentric tech, and i have reason to beleive that any race should be able to wear a belt that helps them aim missiles and stuff

Ok, solid recommence mod right there, i was worry the outfit on some race may off set, was thing of coping until i find a mod to fix that. Modder in this game are scary, always 2 step again :cool_seagull:

Hello! I bid you a warm welcome to the community, and thank you very much for the kind praise!

I think the mod's numbers are relatively low because HAR apparel restrictions just aren't an issue for the majority of the playerbase. There are only so many HAR users, only so many HAR races that have apparel restrictions, and only so many people that want to remove them in the first place. You could say my mod's audience is limited to a subset of a subset of a subset.

The mod was created as a companion to THIGAPPE , another mod of mine which helps consolidate Asian-style pawn graphic textures. You might enjoy that, too!

Im new to Rimworld, just beginning my modded gameplay for a week, stumble upon the annoying race restrict for outfit, even tho the size are some what the same, feel kinna bullshiz. If this mod truly work as advertise, how can it only 1,4k sub? This take underrated to a whole new lv :sad_seagull:

Hey there, so glad to hear it's been useful to you!

That issue occurs when a race does not have the body parts covered by the piece of apparel being worn. A flaw in the code means the check for coverage is always passed, so they can wear infinite amounts of those items.

I suppose the easiest way to fix this issue is to install XML Extensions, then use the provided settings menu to re-enable restrictions for the mincho. A fix of the underlying problem is out of the scope of this mod, I'm afraid.

Hey there, thanks for the report! Indeed, this sounds like a mod conflict as I'm not experiencing the problem myself. I've heard several graphics-related reports tracing back to performance mods lately. I have to imagine they're working on some unstable changes and will need some time to work out potential friction points.

Regarding moyo looking subpar with rabbie outfits, that's likely just expected behavior. By default, THIGAPPE makes its adjustments by assuming apparel textures are drawn for vanilla body textures. It's possible (though time consuming) to make fine-tuned defs [gitlab.com] to support apparel drawn for other body textures, however.

Hmm... I reload the game with graphicpatches disabled and moving thighgappe and this mod further down the modlist... Now the link textures are gone... But now i dont know exactly which one fixes it... I think the load order is more likely the problem...

Oh well. I'll find out on the next play session

It seems that performance fish causes some problems when some outfits are worn by some races.

To give an example. When a red moyo tries to wear a rabbie outfit. The outfit either don't show up or they look.... Marginally fine if you don't inspect to closely. I think these are cases where the outfits don't get affected by thighgappe. This is unfortunate but it doesn't break immersion too much. So i can live with it.

But when I install performance fish. Outfits that don't get affected by thighgappe will just outright show the pink X texture.

Anyway to fix this? I know that performance fish has an extensive list of settings for specific performance fixes. Any idea if there's any setting that I can disable that could fix this?

It looks like the author of Melee Animations has provided documentation for adding support. [github.com] It looks fairly user-friendly, so perhaps you could give that a try?

nope. yuran race still cant wear anything except their own apparels. for other races it works perfectly
