I am not aware of that. This mod does not modify the map either. If you find a case, let me know. You can verify by disabling this mod and checking if the warp point appears again.

Are there any cases where warp points on the map are not displayed due to the use of SBCamerascroll?

Hello Dev! Idk why but my game crashes when entering HI-C04 on Survivor's campaign but only when I have the "Push to Meow" mod enabled?? I went through my mods and isolated that this mod is the interaction that crashes. Ik it's not your responsibility to work on mod compatibility, but I thought I would let you know. It does not crash and appears to work normally without that mod enabled. Thanks so much for making this mod and continuing to work on it. <3

1.5 watcher update makes sbcamerascroll break certain rooms by turning every piece of terrain invisible

That is likely mods being incompatible. See the section BUG REPORTS for how to report bugs.

You can disable other mods to verify that is incompatible with some other mod. And the `exceptionLog` logs code errors. It should tell what exactly went wrong.

Is there any way to fix this in-game when it softlocks or is that it and youve had it? For instance when you go through a pipe and the camera randomly stops following.

I might just be dumb but when I apply improved input config because the original doesnt work with watcher this mod starts complaining has anyone else experienced this or knows why?

It's saying corrupts download when I try to install it. I've tried verifying the integrity of the game files, uninstalling and reinstalling it, but nothing works. Anyone had this problem before?

@B.L.U.S.: Fair enough. I was thinking more about gameplay relevant vs visual only.

Try v3.1.4 (unsubscribe and subscribe again). Technically, you still need to overlay stuff. But since you overlay the room texture with itself, you don't need to create anything new or manage the dimensions. This works for gameplay but the visuals are not as nice.

Having two full room textures takes double the memory. And handling different sizes and overlaying them just for (a small) effect, is not what I want to do. If you want to add the option, go for it. The mod is open source.

is there any real reason why the ripple texture had to be removed other than sometimes being streched and such?

because honestly i would take warped and stretched textures over nothing at all

at least make this an option instead of just doing something without the player's knowledge, this is kinda of one of the biggest mods in the game and has been used by multiple new players(trough co-op and such

Just opened, although i couldnt find the room names but i think they are pretty recognizable (its on shattered terrace)

Context:
I can use the normal room texture instead of the ripple texture. Then you should only get some distortion instead of full black. I can post a screenshot for comparison afterwards.

After the removal of the ripple texture shattered terrace became an place where its almost impossible to navigate due to the ripple effect thing being entirely black and blocking the view of entire chunk of some rooms (this also happens on some other regions too but its far more rare)

Probably it is the size of the game objects. At least when you zoom out by increasing the resolution. The game objects are handled by the framework that Rain World uses (Futile). If you use the other version then you more likely get pixelation issues instead. Both are not good. Try to not use zoom.

Nope. Where did you get that idea?

The version check number is set to v1.10. Otherwise, the game highlights the mod in the REMIX menu as (potentially) outdated for every tiny game update.

If you need the old versions for Rain World v1.5 or v1.9 then you can take a look at the section OLDER VERSIONS.

Did i understand correctly? I have installed rain world v1.10.4 and when i want to use the scroll mod, i have to downgrade to v1.10.1 or v1.10.2 or wait for a new mod update ? Or is it an other problem and it should work with v1.10.4? Greets :)

I tried Outer Rim and it did not lag on my machine. The log was spammed with path finding message. The scavs path finding failed a bunch. But no lagging or crashes / exceptions.

You can try to disable other mods and see if other mods contribute to the lags.

Have you verified that this is happens only for the most recent version (see the section OLDER VERSIONS)?

You can also send logs (see the section BUG REPORTS). I can check if I get lags in these regions later today.

I have one major problem: the game starts to lag a lot in sandy regions like the Outer Rim, Badlands and Hot Desert. This was not the case in previous versions.

IIRC, depending on your resolution you get cut off in one screen arenas (even in vanilla). Maybe you can check if that happens when the mod is turned off.

That is one of many issues with zooming. It is experimental and not recommended.

Using dynamic zoom option causes issues with aim anywhere because it thinks the slug cat is in a different position than it is making the angle to the mouse be wrong

oh so thats why the game takes SO long to load after playing it for long enough, its actually because of the ram accumulation thing. (replying to the comment of B.L.U.S.)

My bad. I was reacting to the comment below yours. Of course, I take reports from anyone who is willing to spend some time to gather context.

(The memory leaks I experienced myself and couldn't pinpoint them. It is hard to know from the outside what Unity does under the hood.)

as i said you have done a lot for this mod

im not sure how the ram leakage of it is
but just raw performance it does lag sometimes to load rooms but its not a big issue for my computer

as i said the biggest problem with rain world mods in general is ram leaks which on 1.9 and below would eventually crash but nowadays with the 1.10 update just allows your game to progressively slow down to almost 30 seconds cycle end loads

that comment was not anything important i was just sleep deprived and said some random shit for no reason

What exact situation create performance problems? There are some ideas but so far no actual reports. What is your hardware? Is the main CPU core at 100% or GPU at 100% when playing?

Getting to know the situations helps to get better ideas and understanding.

Context:
The just-in-time merging is heavier on the GPU. But outside of using the GPU to copy texture while loading the room (increasing the load times), it should be the same afterwards.
I cache the room textures. Then you don't need to load them from disk that often. But who knows, maybe there are some bugs. You would notice when moving from large rooms to small rooms and back. But again, this would be during room transitions rather than during gameplay.

the 64 bit update to rain world made random crashes way less of a issue

altough with the crashes gone its really evident just how slow the game gets over time now
this mod was originally my most ram leaking mod but due to the updates and me getting more mods it has left that podium
