There is another thing, that really bothers me. While Phytokin have sapling fatigue you can't change the couples approach on pregnancy. So turning on trying for pregnancy once really needs you to time the ending of the sapling fatigue to turn it off again or your colony will be overrun by Phytokins. :D

Is there any intention to ever make a Harbingerkin and Archean kin? As those are the two new cool trees from the Anomaly and Odyssey DLC.
Jilocasin 28 Aug @ 1:22am
But the description says the blood is orange and the hemogen packs/bottles are red...No, I get it, that wouldn't be worth impementing. Thanks for the fast response
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 27 Aug @ 11:56pm
No, they have blood
Jilocasin 27 Aug @ 11:07pm
Is it just me or shouldn't you be able to extract hemogen from carriers with the sap blood gene?
Miha_metan 25 Aug @ 3:22am
Archaenkin when?
Cranberry 24 Aug @ 8:53pm
Good to know..
Drunken Marksman 24 Aug @ 11:45am
So, with less than a day between the mech army arriving and my saplingbirth, I was delighted to discover that building gravship substructure under the saplingchild doesn't destroy it, neither did the grav jump away from the mechs.

While great for my hippy-dippy anima-kin, it doesn't seem to be intended, lol
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 23 Aug @ 11:07pm
Yes
Cranberry 23 Aug @ 4:05pm
Are phytokin not being able to have an Ovum extracted (for IVF) intentional? If I hypothetically made a version without Saplingbirth could I do it then?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 22 Aug @ 11:21pm
Yes
JaqueDarkkev 22 Aug @ 6:18pm
Apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn't find an answer: Is it normal for saplingchild's to not have a father after 'birth'? One just hatched from the plant in my game and the mother is recognized but it says "father:unknown" when naming the child, and the actual father is listed as a step-father in the social tab.
Breadmond 21 Aug @ 10:35pm
@Rosecto @GoondarJr
you could go for a skylight mod to solve that problem
Lacke 21 Aug @ 10:15am
Seems the dryad can do more work types now. Guess it was, indeed, not intended haha :D
fix0 21 Aug @ 4:15am
Nevermind me, the pawn was 50 years old hahahaha
fix0 20 Aug @ 2:16pm
Maybe its conflicting then with either way better romance, romance on the rim or some other mod
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 20 Aug @ 9:37am
No, this mod uses the vanilla "lovin'" mechanics. No changes
fix0 20 Aug @ 9:15am
Are all garuanlenkin infertile? I have never managed to make a saplingchild
Rosecto 19 Aug @ 11:09pm
That may brake my plans for spacer plants </3
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 18 Aug @ 10:22pm
It's expected, yeah
GoondarJr 18 Aug @ 2:59pm
Hello was curious if sun lamps are not supposed to work at all for the photosynthesis gene?
Zairya 16 Aug @ 1:35pm
@Techlich
There's a compainion mod for the harbringer tree, called HarbringerKin - Phytokin.
for the other tree, I don't know.
Techlich 14 Aug @ 8:35am
Does anyone know if the author said anything about making variants for the other two special trees: harbinger and archean trees?
Shokojunge 14 Aug @ 4:26am
where does one edit the days it takes a sapling to hatch? ty
Lacke 13 Aug @ 9:24am
My companion dryads can be forced to do other jobs than the one described.
Is that intended ?
For example I can force them to do plant work, which seemed logical at least, but also construction and sometimes it just result in nothing, so I'm wondering now ! :)
Thanks !
Langfao 10 Aug @ 7:18pm
Just a question just had a creepjoiner event with an animakin joining and it was discovered the pawn had organ rot, I was able to replace/remove all the affected organs except the heart is there a reason I cant take out the rotting heart or replace it with a new heart?
Ashiel 8 Aug @ 11:00pm
Just curious but does progressive attunement rely on physical age or actual age of a pawn?
White Noise 3 Aug @ 9:37am
Sure, I'll make a report. Thanks for your time & work on this mod, I appreciate it.
White Noise 3 Aug @ 9:36am
Is there a possible multiple days delay to the trigger of the psychic soothe ? I sometimes get soothes after a while, but I can't tell if it's the skill or a random occurrence.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 3 Aug @ 9:30am
No, report it properly on the bug tracker
White Noise 3 Aug @ 9:13am
I've had an issue with this mod for a while now (last game with this problem was over a year ago) where "Anima Song" doesn't seem to trigger a pyschic soothe after using the skill.
Is this a known issue ?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 3 Aug @ 1:12am
Zero chance. Just don't accept the quest?
NerdGamer 2 Aug @ 7:18pm
Hey do you think it might be possible to add a mod option to disable the guaranteed Phytokin quest in the options. I really like the concept of this being a very rare xenotype on the rim but getting atleast one if not multiple on every single run I play really just feels like going against that from a vibes point of view if you get what I mean. I get why made it this way with the quest just would be nice to have the option to disable it but still potentially run across Phytokin throughout the game even if its incredibly unlikely.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 2 Aug @ 9:23am
It's an ability. You select it, you click the ground
Lucious 2 Aug @ 6:53am
im still so confused i searched up how to plant a sapling child and it just came up as how to plant trees does anyone know how to plant a sapling child
32586boneshaman (no mic) 30 Jul @ 10:50am
my companion dryads don't display their inventories, so i cant get them to drop items i have them pick up
Pandemonium 29 Jul @ 1:50pm
For some reason this won't appear in my mod list even though i have it installed. I've tried both the search bar and looking through the list manually, but nothing. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no luck.
Frankenfurt Sr. 29 Jul @ 1:03am
Downgraded to 1.5, can't figure out if this has been asked already, so sorry if it has, but my Saplingchildren disappear after they're supposed to be "born". I have a custom xenotype, but there's no errors in the debug log that pop up. I've tried testing it a few times, reinstalling this mod, and a bunch of others, verified integrity of files, etc, but I can't seem to find a way around it. It's likely just a compatibility issue, I just can't figure out what it's incompatible with.
mytigio 26 Jul @ 11:12am
For those asking for a Harbingerkin, I created an add-on to this mod for them: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3522734130
Skeletal Necromancer 26 Jul @ 7:16am
you also should do a HarbingerKin for the meat trees
QiamOnline 23 Jul @ 6:41am
Suggestion for Odyssey Archeankin. Give them vacuum resistance and their ability is to convert a small area around them into rich soil.
Vulkandrache 22 Jul @ 8:14pm
Did their need bar drop low enough already?
TheTigsy 22 Jul @ 8:09pm
How do you get a poluxkin to actually consume a wastepack, i've had it happen once and now they just completely ignore the wastepacks existence...and it doesn't seem to be possible to manually direct them to do it?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 19 Jul @ 3:52am
No, it's intentional
Feels 19 Jul @ 2:32am
I believe its an unintentional consequence of the way the birthing process is programmed, all extended race mods with unique reproduction have this issue.
TheRedPriest 19 Jul @ 2:27am
On another note...Harbinger Phytokin?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 19 Jul @ 2:26am
Yeah
Kaschey 19 Jul @ 1:56am
@Feels, I'm pretty sure it's an intended mechanic that their genes don't get mixed.
Feels 19 Jul @ 1:51am
also its impossible to create hybrids, even tho the genes are mixed on conception, after birts they always default to the base race.
Feels 19 Jul @ 1:35am
Considering how long they grow, and how large they look, saplings should give out a child, not an infant imo.
