Like I literally just said those sounds aren't triggered in the footstep context, which is how the entire system works. They're just sounds emitted by the game when the player is moving on a ladder.

will you add support for ladder trigger sound for draconic base in the event surfaces, it's just strange that in the draconic base there are no sound events for the ladder

Because when I last checked, ladders aren't triggered in footstep contexts.

I thought that's what you meant but wasn't sure since you commented it on this addon rather any anything more contextually relevant.

@Schenker this sounds like the third person mod you're using is setting the players eye angles in such a way that they're likely being reset and then alerted every tick, causing the turning code to detect the angle difference and attempt to play the animation.

When I switch to thirdperson with View Extension addon, the playermodel's legs will keep turning, although you can stop legs turning by switching to firstperson, but it still looks very weird, is there anyway to fix it?

"Sprinting" animations with guns tend to just be using the passive rifle holdtype, there's no real dedicated sprint state or animation set within Garry's Mod. It would require authors of various weapon bases to add support for exposing sprint detection in lua.

Is there/ can there be a running animation? I sometimes like to play in third person and what I think is the base sprint animation with guns sucks. Now, I also use ArcCW guns so I don't even know if anything can be done but I figured I'd ask.

is it possible to connect "Contextual Player Animations": https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2419834360 and "Extended Player Animations" they both have drawbacks, but if you combine them into one, I think it would be cool.:steamthumbsup:

Use the 64bit branch of Garry's Mod. No idea the cause and can't find any common factors between people who experience this issue, but playing on the 64bit branch has solved the issue 100% of the time.

Again, there is no landing animation added by this mod. You are using a playermodel which was compiled with the wrong animations referenced.

Again it doesn't sound like it's a mod causing your issues, it sounds like a playermodel with improperly set animations.

I uninstalled the ik mod and other animation mods. This one was the one that stopped the jig at least. Should i reset gmod?

@Guy Some other animation mod is doing that then, or perhaps you have a playermodel which was compiled incorrectly and has NPC animations also referenced on the player. The "legs stretching below them" when landing is a behaviour of the IK system trying to lock the character's feet to the floor. Gmod player animations do not use these, but NPC animations do.

@Qu4r4ntine The skateboard is only a model in this addon, and animations are added to the player. I was working on a skateboarding addon at one point, but other stuff comes up and new ideas of things I want to do took precedence.

having the same issue as Jonathan. Primarily with View Extension. angling the camera in a certain way causes the turn animation to constantly be played. idk if you were able to find a fix
