and, thank you. really thank you. Things have only gotten, well i hesitate to say it, but they haven't been better, so, hearing a compliment like taht, it really touches me.

im still trying to figure out how to compress these files, i uh, im a mapper, i don't really understand source and it's shenanigans, but feel free to try it if you'd like.

im not sure if i'll still be making maps honestly, it's not really about the time spent on it, just, life getting in the way of doing artistic stuff. Im just happy to know, some people out there still appreciate these small things. But, who knows, maybe i'll get back to it some day.

do you know if you'll ever release this map's source files and concepts/ideas for anyone to iterate on or to maybe complete the map, im genuinely interested to see what ideas you had for this map, cause the liminal maps you made look so cool and interesting

i just saw this map and its screenshots rn and genuinely its a massive shame you lost motivation and drive for the project, but i understand, imo there's not really any point to any project if it doesn't have any passion behind it, whether it'd be a game, song or mod, free or not passion is all that matters, especially if its a free thing that fully started and was driven from passion, and i feel happy that you were able to let go of this after you lost all your passion, since i know how depressing and awful it feels dragging yourself to finish something you lost all passion for, even worse if you're doing it for free, since the thing you were doing for free started out of passion y'know?

well, thank you. sorry about the materials and stuff, i really didn't want to work further on this; but i appreciate that people still see something in it. im not the best mapper but i aways do the things i do with love (cheesy, i know) but it's what makes it fun for me. It's an artform and sometimes you don't put out the best work, specially while you're going trough stuff. hopefully my next project will be made at a better place in time. about the level design, it's kinda of what broke this project, it didn't follow the rules i already had, something i'll keep track of in the future, but, surprised to see it was still somewhat interesting. really ty for the feedback

I noticed this was unlisted on your profile, but thankfully I already had this map in my Favorites, so I was able to download it and try it out.

Honestly, broken materials and some unfinished level geometry aside, what you've got going on here is pretty interesting. The level design is genuinely bizarre and surreal which is great for a liminal space map, and I think the animated steam sprites are a nice touch.

I'd definitely encourage you to give this sort of level design another shot, that is when you have the time to do so.

Out of curiosity, is there a particular reason why the map is 610 MB large?

It doesn't look like it's using any custom assets, so I'm wondering if the map is actually a lot more expansive and intricate than what the screenshots show, which is actually kind of an exciting possibility.
