Still doesn't appear in build menu, but no other Workshop mods do either. Was really into this and the Poisoners shops so that sucks. I tried loading them last and still nothing.

Anyone finding this and other workshop additions not showing up. Do you have better instruments installed? There seems to be a conflict there.

It seems that the gauntlets are not part of the Armor Set in the armory.

But it really is a great mod thanks

@MSD the issues with your boots are caused by the boots not having the [SHAPED] tag on them, leading dwarves to try and wear them with shoes. only 1 item with that tag can be worn at a time, but since the boots don't have the tag this doesnt apply to them, and the dwarf attempts to wear them on top of his shoes, instead of taking the shoes off before putting the boots on. Because they take up the same space this doesnt work and so urist just walks around in normal shoes. There are mods that add the shaped tag to boots as well as gauntlet, as they have a similar issue with mittens and gloves.

Can use Ash Bars also instead of iron bars to build them.

@MSD the reason gauntlets don't work is that only the hardcoded reactions can make them with "left" and "right" handed property. So you can add gauntlets, but your dwarves will not be able to wear them, because they need those to be for a specific hand.

I've tested it and it works, Its weird why Gauntlets (I've added them btw) but also the Boots are not working, The boots are "assigned", but the dumb dwarf rather wear his pig tail shoes .... -.-

Are you going to add the GLASSES_ARMORY_REACTION_FULLSET_MAGMA_8 .. upto 12 reactions in the future as well ? Or are you waiting for the graphics because I wanted to check out the Gold Armor, but they don't show up... I 'm guessing that was the reason you didnt add them yet. Black Bronze also don't show the correct graphics, they are black in the item view but on the dwarf they are light brownish... But I think that is a bug in the game, not the mod. (Im testing on 50.08 btw).

For anyone having trouble getting it to show up try having any buildings as the last in the load order. That fixed this mod and the Crematorium for me

So I have noticed that you can't use this while being any other race from any other race mods and I was wondering if there's any quick way that I can patch it into any race mod??

@LeadZeppelin: All layers should be passable; Thinking of changing it so that only the obvious tiles are passable and table/armor tiles are set to impassable

What is the passable/impassable tile layout for this workshop? Want to make sure my idiot dwarfs don't fall in to the fuel while making armor sets. Lost a high master armorer when he dodged into the magma hole while running from a berserk dwarven baby.

Yes, you can still create them in the forge and wear them. The issue is that when gauntlets are created in the metalsmith/maga forge (IE: forge), they are created in a pair, namely a left and a right. Dwarves, Elves, Humans, Etc...need to wear a left and a right pair.

The issue ends up being that just a gauntlet is created in the end, regardless of how many I tell it to make. The problem is that it isn't a left gauntlet or a right gauntlet...just a gauntlet...so dwarves won't be able to use them.

Until this is addressed through some sort of code/script injection, like DFHack provided, or ToadyOne adds a new tag, custom reactions cannot make left/right handwear of any sort.

Not that I'm aware of; Are there any other mods that you are using? Might be best to have it at the bottom as it doesn't change anything, only adds; Also only adds them for dwarves, if you are trying to play a different race.

Thanks; Code left over from a second workshop that was going to be added, a blast furnace. There is a graphical error with workshops over 7 tiles in size so I removed it for the moment.
