@IchBinBartlos Thanks for pointing this out. The crash happens if you enable all three versions of the mod at the same time.

Only one version should be active, since they are alternative styles of the same mod and conflict with each other when combined.

The reason I originally packaged them this way is because people wanted different style options, but I see now that it can cause confusion. I’ll be updating all the descriptions with a clear disclaimer so users don’t run into these unintended crashes.

Sorry for the trouble, my friend. I hope this clears things up and helps you get it running smoothly.

The two "required mods" are not required... they are actually alternatives of this mod. Use only one of them.

Just reinstalled the mod with all the two needed mods and this came, didnt change anything besides installing and activating the mods and it crashed, besides that i only have the galactic allegiance mod running

It's also possible you have multiple of THIS mod (the other styles?) installed at the same time, which is also not required, you only need one of them, despite them being linked as "required mods"

That error looks like either you have my mod running before this one (which should be now fixed as I removed the duplicated code from mine) .... or possibly you need to update your Cosmoteer.

What is happening is that something is removing the vertex color entry (or it does not exist because the game needs updating) before this mod can remove it.

I have had an error too starting the game. Not sure when it started, but unsubscribing and resubscribing to the 3 Color-Coded Resources Mod fixed it.

@腾龙灵梦 Do you have installed @RustyDios mod ? His mod is incompatible with mine at the moment. Disable it if you want to use my mod. We are looking into a fix

@腾龙灵梦 That's really odd. I didn't encounter any issues while testing the new patch. Is it still crashing? Could you try disabling other mods and running just my mod to check if it's specifically the one causing the problem?

The new update seems to have broken some of the colors for some reason. Gold, tritanium, and uranium all have the same color as sulfur now.

Could you make a mod that colors all the different allegiances (Player1, Player2, Player8, Neutral, etc.) differently in multiplayer sandbox when viewed from All Players? It's all just green blips fighting green blips in the vanilla game, gets a little confusing if you're trying to manage some kinda multipolar fleet war.

@tr0ll3r, the mod does not alter custom markers; it only enhances the appearance of the actual mineral icons to make them more readable.

Custom markers are always displayed on the map.

Mineral icons, however, are only visible when you are within range of your ship.

Therefore, if you have custom markers placed but are not within the visible range of the minerals your ship can detect, no custom mineral icon will appear.

@spectra I only have your mod installed. There were 3 and I only checked one. But they only show if I have a vehicle in the vicinity. Mine show like all your screenshots, but see how all my custom markers are white dots instead of a specific color dot, or does the mod not do that?

@tr0ll3r The mod on my end is working on all distances. Icons should show up.

I just took some screenshots to see if something was broken and showed as yours.
My guess is that you have a mod that is conflicting with my mod.

@spectra just uploaded to my screenshots. in the one, they work b/c i'm in vicinity. in the other, i'm zoomed way out and only get the white dot. maybe that is expected. i was hoping for the dot color to correspond to the resource, which would help tremendously.

Actually, I see that it is working on one of my ships. Maybe I misunderstood this. I was hoping that zoomed out all the resources I map out would show the color when zoomed out. That way, I'm able to just tell which locations have the most of a specific resource by color instead of mousing over everything.

@wolfdk19, even tho the version is not the same as the current, the it should work with the latest version. Unless something big has changed in the game. I'm currently not playing the game so i'm not following the updates.

@Martin Astos: Yes, the blinking animation is the default (vanilla) behavior of the icons.

@psionic_m: The mod does not modify the code that affects interaction behaviors. Therefore, the issue you mentioned is most likely the vanilla behavior of the in-game icons for the resources and not intentional.

Question: Is it intentional that these colour coded resource names show 'on top of'/'above' the Custom Markers? If I have a custom marker in the same place as a resource name, I cannot right click to remove the custom marker, and hovering the mouse over the custom markers in the same place as resource names no longer shows the text contained within the marker.

Yes that is the thing I'm talking about.
It's not a 'problem', certainly not with your mod, I just still find it harder to identify what each asteroid is when the icon is only fully visible for a small percentage of time.

@MartinAstos Do you mean the blinking effect the icons have? Thats the default vanilla behaviour. There might be a way to prevent the animation from playing. Can you provide a short recording of the matter just to be extra sure about it?

I would like to thank you for this mod. I can't imagine this wasn't part of the default game. I have been running this mod from before I ever tried the vanilla game and just cannot imagine playing minus this.

@Canyew Yes, it should be client side. I have disabled the multiplayer requirement. So technically it should. I don't have anybody to test the multiplayer functionality so i'm not 100% sure.
