This is a life saver. Please keep this updated when the map expands next dlc!
Starmender  [author] 28 Sep @ 1:00pm
As far as I know.
cdml4r4 28 Sep @ 9:23am
Is this compatible with CFP (Community Flavor Pack) and EPE (Ethnicities and Portraits Expanded)?
Personally, it doesn't work for me in multiplayer:cozyjunimogreen:
Starmender  [author] 25 Sep @ 1:52am
It should I think. Though I've never really tried myself.
Doesn't work in multiplayer?
Django 20 Sep @ 8:12pm
This is the only mode I have without bangs, but it's bouncing...
Starmender  [author] 20 Sep @ 1:12pm
No.
viktor_77 20 Sep @ 11:36am
would it be possible to make this mod MB+ compatible?
Starmender  [author] 22 Aug @ 12:40pm
No, I've never made mods like that. As for knowing, I was able to find "India Only" and "Mapsclusive India". Not quite up-to-date, but at least they've been made post 1.9, so they should probably work.
hamza.ammad9 22 Aug @ 4:21am
Hi, ive been searching for days and i cant seem to find any mod that restricts the map to India or Africa, and i was wondering if u have made, or know any such mod that is compatible with the current patch of the game.
Starmender  [author] 20 Aug @ 2:51am
I'm almost certain it's compatible with EPE. Not so sure about CE, but it should probably work. In theory. I don't really use any mods other than my own (and No More Cheating), so every time someone asks about compatibility, best I can do is make an educated guess.

100% won't work:
- mods that change the map (like More Provinces or Navigable Rivers);
- mods that override landed_titles or religions (they almost never do, mine is an exception);
- mods that add holy sites or landed titles outside of the map's border (like RICE).

Events and scripts outside of the map's scope should normally just silently fail without causing troubles, but it's not 100%.

Everything else should work.
Bellotto 19 Aug @ 4:38pm
Sorry. Just now I noticed you answered a similar question before. It seems it is compatible with EPE, which could possibly mean it works with Culture Expanded.

I've noticed it is not compatible with either Community Title Project or More Cultural Names, causing crashes after playing for a while. But since these mods are just some "flavourisation" I didn't mind removing them.
Bellotto 19 Aug @ 4:34pm
This mod is absolutely great! I love it, and it has much improved my performance since I play on a laptop, lol. May I ask you, is it compatible with Culture Expanded (and, consequentially, with Ethnicities & Portraits Expanded)? Thanks! Again, absolutely great mod.
Starmender  [author] 19 Aug @ 10:11am
This mod also removes historic characters from cut territories. It does that by overriding relevant files with empty files, so removing these files will restore the characters. Files in "characters" folder are characters themselves, organized by culture (like han.txt). Files in "titles" tie characters to titles. So, for "characters" folders you need to remove tamil, telugu and sinhala. For "titles" - k_maharastra and k_tamilakam. I think that should be it, though I'm not 100% sure, maybe I'm missing something.
BlueberryJush 19 Aug @ 8:47am
Thank you! Actually I figured it was easier to just base it off the RGB codes from the definitions.csv file and work my way off of the borders. Only question I have left is whether I should be removing any .txt files from the characters folder? Still don't get the relation of removing the "han.txt" file in that comment you mentioned regarding adding back the kingdom of Xia.
Starmender  [author] 19 Aug @ 8:06am
Not sure about the best one. Most would do the job I think, but personally I use gimp 2.10 (3.0+ had issues that may or may not have been resolved). How I would've done it in gimp: open both mine and original files, copy Deccan Empire, "Edit" - "paste in place" and "anchor layer" (green anchor button in the bottom-right corner). Then to figure out the actual borders of Deccan empire and remove the unwanted provinces. Then "File" - "overwrite provinces.png".
BlueberryJush 19 Aug @ 4:18am
No problem- thank you for answering! Just wondering what tool will be best for re-adding the provinces to the .png file? I'm not sure if it's a good idea to just splice them back haphazardly a la copying from the original map since I'm only planning to re-add the Deccan empire.
Starmender  [author] 19 Aug @ 3:15am
Won't be making a version with Deccan. As for your second question, there's an answer to a similar one on the 3rd page of this comment section. That's a rough outline. Feel free to ask if you have follow-up questions or want me to go into details on a particular step.
BlueberryJush 18 Aug @ 9:46pm
Will it be possible to request a version that has the Deccan empire? If not, how do I go about re-adding it?
Starmender  [author] 16 Aug @ 1:29am
It shouldn't in theory, but I've never actually tried it myself.
치킨연합 15 Aug @ 10:00pm
Does using the Historic Invasions mod cause crashes?
Starmender  [author] 4 Aug @ 12:23pm
The game hasn't been updated for quite some time now, so I doubt that's true. Most likely it's an issue of compatibility with some other mod you're using. Check your mod list and try disabling those that you think might cause problems (like mods that make changes to the map, titles or religion).
YGSX 4 Aug @ 5:59am
need an update, can't work now
AI985 1 Aug @ 9:53am
need a compatibility version with morebookmarks
7 8 Jul @ 8:02am
Alright, thanks. I'll drop the More Navigable Rivers mod.
Starmender  [author] 8 Jul @ 2:27am
I'm afraid not. Both mods are overwriting the same file, so it's either one or the other. The only thing that can be done here is making a whole separate mod based on MNR map, but that's a lot of work and not something I'm interested in doing.
7 8 Jul @ 1:58am
This mod conflicts with More Navigable Rivers (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2219623397) , causing deleted regions to appear red on the map. Is there any way to make them compatible? Thank you very much.
7 7 Jul @ 7:38pm
Should mods be placed at the top or the bottom?
Starmender  [author] 7 Jul @ 2:36am
Neither of these things should be happening. Try re-downloading the mod (unsubscribe and subscribe back again) and make sure you don't use it with other mods that change the map, titles or add holy sites.
7 6 Jul @ 8:15pm
This mod crashes or freezes when loading the 867 scenario, even though no crash report appears.
7 6 Jul @ 6:57pm
The removed areas are all displayed as red on the map.
ΒΟΥΣΣΟΝΩΣ 5 Jul @ 1:52pm
Could you please make it compatible with the fallen eagle mod?
Starmender  [author] 2 Jul @ 2:03am
Most likely, yeah. My first priority will be updating already existing mods, but once I'm done with that I do plan to make one for Asian region.
Cyrillus5 1 Jul @ 3:50pm
My weak laptop thanks you for this work.)) Will you make a similar mod for the new regions of All Under Heaven? I really want to play in Japan and China on my weak laptop.)
Starmender  [author] 30 Jun @ 2:14am
Haven't tried it, but I think it should work. Scripts for invasions outside of the map scope should simply fail without causing any problems.
Chicken_Smuggler 29 Jun @ 11:28pm
Does this work with the Historic Invasions mod?
Starmender  [author] 1 Jun @ 12:10am
No, sorry. Not making any new mods.
KothRaeder 31 May @ 5:45pm
could you do a small map that keeps the rest of africa?
Starmender  [author] 22 May @ 9:43am
I'm sorry, but I really don't want to add another mod to maintain. I have my hands full as it is.
Wumeng 21 May @ 8:20pm
Friend, can you make a compatibility for 1490 year - new start date (bookmark)?
Starmender  [author] 19 May @ 5:57am
There's no quick way to do it, unfortunately. You'll have to:
1. Add Khotan's and Xia provinces back to map_data/provinces.png (copy them from the vanilla map).
2. Add k_khotan and k_xia back to landed_titles.
3. Remove associated mod's history files: titles/k_khotan, titles/k_xia and characters/han.
4. Add removed holy sites back to holy_sites and religions. I think there's one in Khotan and three or four in Xia. I can look them up and give you full list if you decide to go through with it.

Feel free to ask if you have questions or need me to go into more details on any particular step.
Ayatullah 19 May @ 3:58am
Hey Starmender, great mod and been using for 2 years. But with the latest update, I want to add Kingdom of Khotan and Xia back. Can you tell me how?
Starmender  [author] 13 May @ 1:39pm
For what it's worth, mod does remove all historical Zaghawa characters. There's an yearly event with Saharan nomads, but it should only generate Berber characters if its logic works correctly. So, I'm not really sure where they might be coming from.
Extinrebok 13 May @ 10:00am
The game seems to generate characters from the Zaghawa people, even though there are no counties on the map.
Starmender  [author] 13 May @ 2:33am
Sorry about that. Yeah, it might break a save. It's one of the reasons I don't like making changes to the map. I can upload the previous version of the mod to some file hosting service if you'd like.
藿藿香正妻水 12 May @ 5:53pm
After the restoration of Siberia all of the Siberian areas in my archives became feudal English territories and the jurisprudence of the Britannia empire
NEST-7 12 May @ 10:00am
That's too bad, thanks for doing it. I like both, MPE adds to the computer load, this one reduces it.
Starmender  [author] 12 May @ 9:54am
Restored most of Siberia.
Starmender  [author] 12 May @ 2:11am
No. MPE is an entirely different map that would require a dedicated mod.
